Opened on Queen Victoria's coronation day in June 1838, the Royal Bath Hotel was the first hotel in Bournemouth. It features 3 hotel restaurants, a health spa and lovely sea views.

The atmosphere the owner and his missus always find time to have a chat whatever your desire meal wise it was catered for very comfy bed
Just one thing toilet bowl could be cleaner but overall there was nothing I did not like
pleasant hotel nice location
The owner Alan was accommodating and friendly. space for car parking. lovely breakfast
Simple and clean! Breakfast attendant, very polite Italian lady, many thanks.
Price a bit to high for what is offered!
Large old house converted into a B&B. Only 10 mins walk from restaurants, laundrette etc. very quiet location. Bathroom in need of tlc but did the job. Would give it about 8 out of 10.
Nothing to dislike
Quiet, perfect location, excellent staff, welcoming, cosy, friendly would go again
Staff very friendly called us to check what time we would be arriving which is a nice touch excellent breakfast with plenty of choice
Good website but very cleverly pictured. Stated all rooms en suite but the family room did not have adequate en suite facility. Sink in bedroom, plug did not work and had to be removed by hand, dirt in cupboard below. To sit straight on the toilet your feet were in the shower cubicle( unless you are a child or really small). Rust on bottom of towel rail. Felt they had squeezed an en suite in there just so they can state all rooms had this facility, ventilation not adequate so ceiling starting to mould and made room smell fusty. Only reason didn't complain is that bedding seemed clean and only there for 2 nights. Saw neighbours room being cleaned and bathroom was large, so maybe we just got a bad room? Sat night woken in middle of night by woman banging on door and shouting for room mate to let her in as had forgotten key.Breakfast and dining room were nice, good location. Marked as poor due to ensuite and felt website was misleading as wouldn't have booked if seem true pictures.
Nice comfortable beds cheap price
Not like the pictures messy hotel poorly innovated highly underdeveloped facilities old house that was turned into a hotel
excelent staff, good value of money, good location
Staff very friendly. Rooms clean. Hotel within walking distance to the beach and shops. Good parking facilities.
The family room was very average for the price. The bathroom shower was broken. The bathroom was below average. Overall wont recommend to anyone.
Good location to seafront and other amenities. Very easy to find. Good size family room very small ensuite
Our room was a bit shabby around the edges needed a lick of paint
Wi fi is reasonably OK.
This hotel looks good only on the Internet. However, it does not have a good value for money. I never recommend this hotel to others. There are many other better hotels nearby the town centre and seaside with similar prices. Decoration was tired and bathroom was not clean.
From the outside this old guest house looked quite nice.
This house is old, unloved, unkempt and smells musty and stale throughout, from opening the front door to entering the bedroom. There was no sign of the owners or employees for the whole two days of our stay, (although we did do our best to stay out for as long as possible) so no one to discuss our concerns with. The bedroom (room 6) was just dingy, dirty and unsanitary. The bathroom was vile and had not been cleaned for a long, long time. I know this because of the filth in the toilet and shower and the used band aid and body hair in the shower. The shower was awful, and pathetically trickled between too hot and cold. The extra blanket was sprayed with old blood and the extra pillows had hair from a previous customer. Overall, really awful experience. Would never ever stay here again and would definitely not recommend to anyone looking for clean, acceptable room.
The room size for a family was good.
I didn't like the fact that when we arrived there was a lot if sand in my shower and on the floor in the bathroom..meaning it hadn't been cleaned adequately, the floor covering in the bathroom and toilet was completely inadequate, not fitted and looked like a child had laid it, meaning lots of little bugs were coming up from the ill fitted Lino, there were urine stains on it also. .in both of the rooms we had this was the case. My bed was comfortable enough but my husbands was dreadful. We had two family rooms. Our breakfast the next day left a lot to be desired, in all the place and rooms are very dated, not very clean, furniture was broken, rusty and unkempt. I'm relieved our stay was only one night.
No towels, wifi would not connect, room seriously needs cleaning, hotel itself needs a refurb, small breakfast, only good thing was reasonable price of £58.
Free parking and location okay.
Dirty hotel, hairs on the bed sheets, floor and also hairs stuck to the soap. No shower! Uncomfortable bed but worst of all when my partner cut her leg they had no first aid kit or antiseptic wipes. Staff unfriendly and rude when we asked for clean sheets. Don't book this hotel!!!
Good location and clean hotel
No information about breakfast. I left at 07:30 and the restaurant had still not opened. No staff on duty
The central location. The friendly staff and their helpfulness.
The room was not very clean and a bit shabby. The walls are very thin so it is quite noisy.
spacious rooms. very nice staff.
very uncomfortable bed, torn curtains - in need of upgrade.
The staff were friendly and very helpful. Very good location easy access to town and sea front.
The room was dirty, mouldy walls, the toilet was stained and the pictures on the website were very deceiving. Furniture very dated . It just needs a revamp to meet basic standards.I was really disappointed when I arrived.
No good at all
Location good but a vehicle was needed.
Accessability to amenities, affordability, hospitality and good sense of humour from both staff and management, the homely stay, etc
