The price was okay and the location for our purpose (visiting son at university halls) was good. I suppose you get what you pay for: however, I have stayed in much better accommodation for the price.
The pillows smelled really bad and should be replaced: they are far beyond being fit for human use. The incredibly inconsiderate person that was running their car at very high revs at 4 in the morning in the hotel car park. This went on for ten minutes and they went nowhere. The beds were either infested with bugs or the detergent used for cleaning extremely harsh: I itched all night. Broken rope on sash window meant window would not stay up. Toilet was not clean. Lino on floors in toilet and shower room were poorly fitted, damaged, and filthy. No courtesy soap for shower. Not enough towels. Cold toast at breakfast. No butter on tables. Breakfast was poor, portions small and choice was non-existent.
location , quietness , parking facilities
Broken shower - thought i might get an electric shock
good location cheap for location
Room dirty and dusty No reception More of a B&B than hotel Walked around for 15 minutes trying to find someone to let me check out
The state of the toilet have they never heard of BLEACH
Alan was lovely and it was lovely to see his family around a real family vibe! Breakfast was really nice too!!
Helpful staff basic but clean room
Quiet, but central location. Clean and friendly. I always feel comfortable and relaxed when I stay.
Good location, cheap, friendly staff
Shower was pretty useless
For a hotel there was no reception to get access to the premises we had to ring a bell and wait for staff to open door. We were shown 3 rooms the first the mattress needed replacing. The second had no shower The Third we excepted as this was the best of the 3 rooms. We asked for semi skimmed milk for breakfast and we were supplied with full fat milk. The hotel staff were not welcoming and did not make you feel welcome. The hotel could do with a major re decorate. There was lost if extension leads around the room for the different lights. The kettle had to be left on the floor to boil. For a hotel there was no reception area no bar or television area. This was more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel.
Difficulty with faulty television was dealt with as soon as we told the proprietor and a replacement was provided
Our priority was to find a hotel with wifi in the rooms. The wifi connected but was too slow to load any aps, Internet or email. Very, very disappointing.
good location.. quiet comfortable room
poor internet ..... smell of cigarette smoke odour in bathroom
Unclean never seen toilets so bad and disgusting even when asked to clean again, pillows stained would not sleep on them bed stained and room in need of updated smelt never stayed walked in and out again and paid upfront. Pictures on web site totally not like the hotel
The atmosphere the owner and his missus always find time to have a chat whatever your desire meal wise it was catered for very comfy bed
Just one thing toilet bowl could be cleaner but overall there was nothing I did not like
pleasant hotel nice location
The owner Alan was accommodating and friendly. space for car parking. lovely breakfast
Simple and clean! Breakfast attendant, very polite Italian lady, many thanks.
Price a bit to high for what is offered!
Large old house converted into a B&B. Only 10 mins walk from restaurants, laundrette etc. very quiet location. Bathroom in need of tlc but did the job. Would give it about 8 out of 10.
Nothing to dislike
Quiet, perfect location, excellent staff, welcoming, cosy, friendly would go again
Staff very friendly called us to check what time we would be arriving which is a nice touch excellent breakfast with plenty of choice
Good website but very cleverly pictured. Stated all rooms en suite but the family room did not have adequate en suite facility. Sink in bedroom, plug did not work and had to be removed by hand, dirt in cupboard below. To sit straight on the toilet your feet were in the shower cubicle( unless you are a child or really small). Rust on bottom of towel rail. Felt they had squeezed an en suite in there just so they can state all rooms had this facility, ventilation not adequate so ceiling starting to mould and made room smell fusty. Only reason didn't complain is that bedding seemed clean and only there for 2 nights. Saw neighbours room being cleaned and bathroom was large, so maybe we just got a bad room? Sat night woken in middle of night by woman banging on door and shouting for room mate to let her in as had forgotten key.Breakfast and dining room were nice, good location. Marked as poor due to ensuite and felt website was misleading as wouldn't have booked if seem true pictures.
Nice comfortable beds cheap price
Not like the pictures messy hotel poorly innovated highly underdeveloped facilities old house that was turned into a hotel
excelent staff, good value of money, good location
Staff very friendly. Rooms clean. Hotel within walking distance to the beach and shops. Good parking facilities.
The family room was very average for the price. The bathroom shower was broken. The bathroom was below average. Overall wont recommend to anyone.
Good location to seafront and other amenities. Very easy to find. Good size family room very small ensuite
Our room was a bit shabby around the edges needed a lick of paint
