Located in the Forest of Bowland, this 4-star hotel has luxury bedrooms and a stylish restaurant with fine views of the award-winning gardens and Longridge Fell. Gibbon Bridge is one of Lancashire’s finest, private hotels and is only 20 minutes from the M6 motorway and 8 miles (12 km) from Clitheroe. The restaurant and conservatory serve good cuisine with produce from the hotel's kitchen garden. There is also an on-site bakery for fresh bread, pies and cakes. The Gibbon Bridge has spacious bedrooms and split-level suites offering superb accommodation. Each has been individually designed and some overlook the countryside. Lovely surroundings and initial impression. 2 of the 3 of us thought the food good. 2 storey rooms with downstairs loo. Piped music in the restaurant. Tired surroundings. Had to walk from one block to another to eat in the snow. Attitude of the two gentlemen who served us- rather supercilious!!!

Gorgeous countryside close to Whitewell and the Forest of Bowland. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Spacious room and bathroom. Really delicious food and excellent restaurant service. Stunning garden. A wonderful venue for a wedding. We dragged huge cases up a long flight of stairs to our room only to discover, much later, that we could have driven round the side of the hotel and used a gentle slope!

In the heart of beautiful countryside which is reflected in the beautiful grounds and garden. Plenty of parking. Efficient and friendly check-in staff. Lift. Very cosy bar, which doesn't mean it was small and lovely dining room. Food very well presented, very tasty and prices not outlandish. Again, very friendly staff. Room was a good size, clean and comfortable but on split level with TV hidden round the corner. Only a minor complaint for an otherwise excellent hotel.

It was a beautiful hotel, in beautiful surroundings. Very peaceful and the staff were very friendly. Would definately recommend for anyone wanting a peaceful getaway

The food was first class, the staff were polite, friendly and helpful, the location is very attractive and we had good weather! The bar prices were a bit steep.

The setting - the gardens were immaculate and the countryside and setting superb. The service was excellent. It was friendly and helpful but never intrusive. . The decor was tasteful with wonderful excellent attention to detail. You can tell it is not a 'Group' hotel. It is what gives it its' individuality of style and excellence. Long may it remain so. We will be back. Having too short a say!

The accommodation was fantastic and the choice of food on the room service was excellent. The gardens were so inviting and if it was not for the weather we would have definitely been outside. We are not great fans of the help yourself buffet breakfast because if the previous users have not put the lids back down the hot food is warm instead of piping hot. Also there was not a great choice on the hot breakfast menu.

The stay was of a gift for my daughter and her partner. They thouroughly enjoyed the stay. The food was magnificent and the service was a credit to the hotel. They could not fault your hotel and they would stay again and also recommend to friends. Thanks

the view from the hotel, the lovely gardens the poor service at breakfast,the staff were hard to get hold of when you wanted anything.there was not a lot of choice fro breakfast either. the rooms want upgrading, old fashioned furniture, nathrooms and settees. very over rated,theprice of £150 per night is very expensive
