The room was very nice in traditional English style, and the view was superb. The breakfast was also very good, fresh traditional English breakfast. The house is placed 2.4km from the center, but right outside there is bus station. By bus it takes just 10 minutes to the city center. Overall a very good experience we would definitely stay there again! |

Gifford House is quite possibly as good a Guest House you are likely to visit. It is an excellent location, being just a 15 minute walk from the centre with the option of a regular bus service just across the road. The hosts Margaret and David make your stay as welcoming as possible from the moment you arrive and will do all they can to make your stay as pleasurable as they can. The Gifford is spotlessly clean, with the rooms first class. The attention to detail is really warming, with a chance to catch up on any number of DVD's that are left at reception for you to watch on the tv/dvd player in your room. For breakfast you could not imagine a better start to the day. The hearty English Breakfast is superb with no limit on what the hosts will cook for you. It is as good as anything you are likely to eat anywhere in the City. We stayed there for just two nights, which was not enough! I would recommend this Guest House to anyone and you would not be disappointed. |

The owners David & Margaret were exceptionally good hosts. We stayed there as we were attending a wedding in Edinburgh and they arranged our taxi for us, advised of the best bus routes for sightseeing and even recommended a few local pubs. They were very freindly and the guesthouse was beautifully decorated. |

It's very nice hotel in south area of Edinburgh. It's a bit far from city center but there is very convienient and reasonable cost bus serivice. Breakfast time is a limted between 8:30 and 9:30 and we skipped 2nd days breakfast because of early departing but the hostess of the hotel told us they could prepare the continental breakfast of us. So we should ask them any query or request at first because they have very kind & hospital mind. |

Los desayunos estaban genial, muy completos. El personal es amable. Estaba relativamente lejos del centro, siempre y cuando te desplaces andando, aunque si coges autobús la parada está cerca. Estuvimos en una deluxe room y puedo asegurar que no tenía el baño apropiado para ese tipo de habitación, era muy pequeño y anticuado. Y en cuanto al dormitorio, hemos estado en B&B mejores con menos estrellas. |

Alles bestens! Sehr nette und immer hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter und ein wunderschönes Zimmer in klasse Lage. Man kommt in ca. 10-15 min. zu Fuß ins Stadtzentrum. Einziger (kleiner) Nachteil sind die etwas zu kleinen Duschen. |
