The rooms and public areas were stunning, and the staff were extremely attentive and friendly.
Portions in the restaurant for dinner were small
Clean rooms, nicely decorated hotel and rooms, very quiet and peaceful, friendly staff
No room view, no privacy as if you would open the curtains people would see you as your room overlook a pass route for other rooms, no nearby groceries or stores without taxi, jacuzzi was not working which was the reason for my stay, the restaurant was unmeaningly pricy.
To quiet in the restaurant, couldn't relax in conversation. Not enough choice on the menu for vegetarians.
Nice place well furnished, Staff were good, room was nice and food was good. We stayed for 2 nights, choice on menu restricted if staying longer unless you went al'carte at extra cost.
Paid less elsewhere and had same if not better quality.
Food was below expectations . Half trained staff.
Some staff require a better knowledge of the product. Courteous, but unable to answer queries.
Excellent and very helpful staff, the food was fantastic and the room was very nice. Would recommend to anyone.
We reserved at booking.com the room titled "Luxury Suite". At the website there were other rooms and the most expensive one was "Luxury Suite" which we reserved. What they didn't explain on the website is that this hotel is actually two separate properties. One the hotel and the second a lake house. The Lake house has several different types of rooms and when we reached they gave us the smallest of them & it wasn't a suite just a room. After complaining the owner admitted the website description was a misrepresentation and moved us to a junior suite (cheaper rate as per website) and didn't charge us for the first night we slept at the room at the lake house. So if anyone reserves a room at this hotel make sure you know what you are getting and at what rate. The owner seems to be a gentleman and promised to talk to his manager who was on holidays when she returns to fix the information on the website.
Lovely property. Tastefully decorated rooms. Yummy breakfast.
Location: the place would've been perfect had it been situated by the lake. Food: Ordered dinner from the market menu. While there was nothing wrong with the food, it was somewhat disappointing relative to our (high) expectations.
Staff and owners were excellent as was the food, room was spotless and a credit to the cleaning staff
Thought the prices for the mini bar were on the expensive side
service was first class staff very helpfull and pleasent
nothing all was good
Service, calm, cleanses
On the ads looks they have pool and lake on lodge which is not the case
Lovely place to stay. Staff attentive but not overbearing. Excellent food and choice of wine. First class hotel with a homely feel. Spotless comfortable rooms with lots of attention to the little things that make your stay even nicer.
Nothing at all.
Staff go out of their way to be helpful, especially at the lake house very good food, good depth to menu, good breakfasts too lake house pool very nice, decent hot tub spa massages were good
pool only accessible if you stay at the lake house, an option that is not obvious on booking.com old technology - Tvs 10+ years old, lack of quality wi-fi creaky main hotel - means if other guests are getting up at 8am you are as well
Excellent food. Accommodation was first class. Staff friendly , courteous , helpful, attentive, disciplined.
Nothing. Will be back again.
Relaxing surroundings and fantastic hospitality. Rooms were beautifully decorated & very clean, providing all the toiletries & incidentals needed on an overnight stay. Great selection of cocktails, wines & other beverages. Fantastic afternoon tea selection which amply sees you through to a late dinner.
Postcode in sat nav wanted to take me further & if I hadn't been driving slowly & caught glimpse of the sign in the tree, I would have missed the entrance. Signage could have been better for the first time visitor. The hotel heating I found to be a tad stifling, with the addition of a dry sauna in each room!! Fine once radiators were turned off. I wasn't impressed with the dinner menu, there was no wow factor & nothing which made me think "ooh, I really can't wait to eat that!" The breakfast menu however, was really exciting and I could have happily made my way through the entire menu! If staying for longer than 2 nights, other restaurants would be visited and does this lead to choosing to stay elsewhere next time???
The friendly staff and excellent food
