staff very friendly breakfast good location good for motorway
could do with long mirror in room 2
Our daughter and granddaughter joined us for dinner. My wife had the local lamb, my daughter and granddaughter both had the vegetarian option and I had the fillet of beef. The sauces served with the tender meat dishes were really tasty and we all thoroughly enjoyed our dinners
I stayed here in room 11 which was lovely. The bed was nice and big and very comfortable and lovely soft pillows!
The hotel is a bit tired looking and needs a revamp really
Low pressure for shower
Very friendly helpful staff who made us feel very at home. Excellent food. Ann Weston super mare
location, food, friendly staff
bedroom radiator didn't work, shower head not very useful, bit out dated hotel overall and looks tired.
Shower held up with black tape, bed very soft and uncomfortable, room door rattled all night had to wedge bag against it. Place is looking tired and in need of modernising, pictures on Web out of date
staff were excellent food was superb
hotel needs a little tlc
Food, Staff and Gardens were all quite good.
Rooms, although large and acceptably equipped, were poorly lit and swagged and tasselled - not a good look....... clearly a 70s leftover.
Food very good, both evening meal and breakfast.
Shower was just a dribble.
First impressions excellent, friendly and helpful staff, lovely large room overlooking the garden, large bed and a bath.. Food excellent
Room little bit tired looking, ie wallpaper. Bathroom needed attention, maybe regrouting, little mouldy.
The location and the staff
The room was large, comfortable and well furnished and, like the generous bathroom, was very clean. All the staff were very friendly and I wished I could have visited for pleasure not business but my real thanks go to the lady who gave me directions when my sat-nav failed. Full English breakfast used very good ingredients (bacon, sausage and black pudding) and the lady who took my order and brought my breakfast was incredibly friendly; that is really welcome when travelling/eating alone.
My sat-nav couldn't find it but that's a criticism of my sat-nav, not the hotel.
Convenient location for my needs. Ability to check in very late.
Food at this hotel isn't great. Room generally clean, few cobwebs here and there. Bathroom needs some tidying and updating - mould on tiles and sealant etc. Shower not great. Really windy whilst there and was getting massive draft from around the windows.
Staff and excellent food.
The decor is a little dated but the hotel is spotlessly clean
The food was excellent the reception was friendly. The room was comfortable.
Staff very friendly and helpful
It was a cold night first room window would not close second room no heating third room perfect.
The food was excellent and the young man who served us was lovely.
The heating in our room was not working.
Staff are very friendly. Room was really clean and breakfast was abundant and excellent.
The appearance outside the hotel can be a bit off-putting, which is a shame as it is not bad at all once you're inside
We had heard the hotel was like faulty towers and we could not agree more. This was in a pleasant way though. The staff were very good and pleasant.
Trying to find the hotel in the dark. The facia and boards with the name on could be a lot clearer.
Price Evening meal ok. Breakfast good
room very tired, needed an update, cobwebs removed and bathroom facilities needed a really good clean - a toilet seat that wasn't broken would be better.
The hotel was warm & cosy. The staff very friendly & considerate ( I was in Exeter on a very sad occasion) Food was very good
I had no dislikes
Friendly staff, excellent breakfast and fairly good rate for an overnight business stay.
Noisy room, not having the wine I selected and being recommended the "One I know we've got". I was also given the wrong main course at dinner and was offered it at half price - this didn't materialise on the final bill and the receptionist didn't have any record of the problem - this happened to at least one other guest!
Peaceful; Lovely Dining Room with garden view.
Bar closed too early. Cost of Taxi transport to get to City. Bus service too far away especially after dark.
The bed was really comfortable and the room was a good size. Dinner there was very good
The whole place was very very dated. It really didn't look like photos, the bedroom and bathroom. I was apologising to my husband for taking him there! Man on reception was nice but overly familiar. The breakfast service was gruff, we weren't offered more tea and coffee, when I asked for more milk a used jug was taken off a table. They were clearing up very noisily and excessively around us, while breakfast hours were still going.
