Breakfast service and quality very good; bar and restaurants friendly and food menus were varied and well priced. The grounds are pleasant and the hotel has a country feel about it. Location is not well sign posted from the M5 junction and the access lane requires the hedge rows trimming. Rooms in the outer building (coach house) need some minor repairs. |

The hotel is set in very pretty gardens, which were lovely to enjoy in the evening at the end of a long working day. |

Very friendly and welcoming staff, particularly in the dining room. Lovely gardens, although I did not have time to take advantage of them! Useful to have free WiFi in the bar and bedrooms - although I could not access it in my room. The hotel felt safe and as a lone traveller, I felt secure. I was placed in the bungalow outside the main hotel. The bathroom was immaculate, but the taps very difficult to use, and there were no towel rails. The actual bedroom was rather dated and the television did not receive the two main channels - when I reported this, I was told the hotel was not ready for the digital switchover. Having access to a radio for the news would have been very helpful. |

Reception were very friendly and helpful, the staff in general seemed customer focused (though not at breakfast) Breakfast was confusing and low staffed, the hotel decor is trapped in the 1980's, the bed was uncomfortable. The idea that you have to ask reception for the complimentary items is very inconvenient especially when the room is across the car park from the reception desk. |

They actually understood your system and were prepared to grapple with it for me. Very nice of them. |

The bar meal was good. The bathroom was badly finished with inadequate facilities for hanging towels. A broken tile had been left on the bathroom shelf and shards of tile were on the floor. A used tube of bath gel had been left in the shower. I requested a wake-up call at 5 a.m. but did not receive one. |

The staff were welcoming, the breakfast was good. Our room was comfortable and I appreciated the inclusion of herb tea sachets with the coffee and tea. The night staff seemed absent which is a security concern - maybe you have efficient CCTV. Much of the hotel looked as though it needed a lick of paint to freshen it up, but the location was lovely - just a shame about the motorway noise in the gardens. We could hear other guests in their rooms.... |
