In particular, the staff were excellent. We had a lovely room, but it had an adjoining door to next room. As it happened, the couple in there were quiet, but it could have been annoying! |

The staff were great. Very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast the next morning was excellent. The hotel is badly in need of updating. The decor throughout is very out of date and garish. I found the single bed very uncomfortable. The tv had a few channels but many of the channels had been de-tuned. Fine for a one night stop-over on business, but I would not use it for any other reason. |

We found the hotel very comfortable and convenient for the purpose of our visit with our grandson at Exeter University. It is coveniently situated for access to Exeter but away from all the hustle and bustle of the city centre. |

From the moment I entered I was met by a very friendly receptionist. Waiters were extremely attentive and helpful; they had a big tour in but I was not kept waiting. Food was very good and reasonably priced. I was in the annex and the room was fine for my purposes. I'd stay here again. Decor is a little tired. Hopefully when this finacial situation is over it will get a redec. |

I stayed at this hotel as it was was the venue for a conference I attended the next day - both my nights sleep and the conference were great. If you are planning to arrive by train be aware that Pinhoe station is a small suburan stop and it is unlikely that you'll be able to pick up a taxi there. It is walkable but there is a steepish hill with no pavement which I would be wary of if arriving after dark. |

Some fittings and fixtures were not up to scratch. The bathroom was tiny for two people and the plumbing was very noisy and when the toilet was flushed the noise lasted for ages. |

The breakfast and the evening bar staff 1. The fact that, despite booking ages ago, we did not receive the rooms that we had booked which even led two of my friends to have to share a 3/4 bed in a Double room, something they did not appreciate !! Also for our return trip, depite the mees-up on the outward trip, they nearly managed not to find us our rooms again and once again the "couple of gents" had to share a room - at least this time, they had separate beds !! As for its location, the hotel is in the back of beyond after travelling through an industrial estate. It is however very close to the Airport - as the plane at 6.00 am attested. |

The hotel decor is generally very tired and needs refurbishing. One of the waiters was unable to answer simple questions about the menu |

Excellent value, friendly staff, really nice garden in which to sip your sundowner Hard to find, unless you have satnav (I don't). The web map is very poor and there are no roadside signs until you are almost there. I only had to stop and ask once, which I thought was pretty good. A brown sign at the big main road roundabout and another at the next turning would help. |
