The food was excellent and the young man who served us was lovely.
The heating in our room was not working.
Staff are very friendly. Room was really clean and breakfast was abundant and excellent.
The appearance outside the hotel can be a bit off-putting, which is a shame as it is not bad at all once you're inside
We had heard the hotel was like faulty towers and we could not agree more. This was in a pleasant way though. The staff were very good and pleasant.
Trying to find the hotel in the dark. The facia and boards with the name on could be a lot clearer.
Price Evening meal ok. Breakfast good
room very tired, needed an update, cobwebs removed and bathroom facilities needed a really good clean - a toilet seat that wasn't broken would be better.
The hotel was warm & cosy. The staff very friendly & considerate ( I was in Exeter on a very sad occasion) Food was very good
I had no dislikes
Friendly staff, excellent breakfast and fairly good rate for an overnight business stay.
Noisy room, not having the wine I selected and being recommended the "One I know we've got". I was also given the wrong main course at dinner and was offered it at half price - this didn't materialise on the final bill and the receptionist didn't have any record of the problem - this happened to at least one other guest!
Peaceful; Lovely Dining Room with garden view.
Bar closed too early. Cost of Taxi transport to get to City. Bus service too far away especially after dark.
The bed was really comfortable and the room was a good size. Dinner there was very good
The whole place was very very dated. It really didn't look like photos, the bedroom and bathroom. I was apologising to my husband for taking him there! Man on reception was nice but overly familiar. The breakfast service was gruff, we weren't offered more tea and coffee, when I asked for more milk a used jug was taken off a table. They were clearing up very noisily and excessively around us, while breakfast hours were still going.
Quality of food in the restaurant and friendly staff (especially Sue)
The fact that room staff had forgotten to supply towels (later remedied by helpful recepionist)
WiFi was very poor and difficult to connect to
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious for a family room and the rates were good
Needs a little updating and redecorating
Food was very good
Drain Pipe outside our Window was leaking and thus noisy. No net curtain in our Window. Housekeeping did not replace shower gel and shampoo daily despite us using it all on the second to last night! No desk to work at in the room.
All staff were very helpful and the food was top quality will definitely be back again
Beds Staff great
Location Very dated decor
Lovely old building
Poor service in replacing glasses in room and towels. Toilet cistern did not work properly. No Wifi.
Friendly staff Reasonable breakfast with coffee/tea served at table Quiet room as requested Good evening meal
Restaurant rather dated decor; lack of table linen at dinner
Welcome arrival by reception , lovely size room , very clean , fab menu ,,fab breakfast ,, comfy bed .
Staff were helpful and attentive, the food was very good
Noisy bedroom, Room 7
Bed was comfortable and food was good, friendly staff
Access road is a bit of a pain, especially when you are behind the bin men
Being put out in an out house this was not explained at the time, or indicated at the time of booking the accommodation bore no resemblance to the photos on your website or the hotel's website extremely disappointing
70's Time warp. From décor, to menu.
The gardens are lovely with entertaining rabbits. The staff are very friendly and anxious to ensure guests have everything they need. The food was very good.
The hotel is a nightmare to find. Some signage at the M5 junction would be helpful, to indicate where exactly the hotel is situated.
Excellent location for Exeter and the M5. Have stayed there many times and always been pleased with the service and the food. Nice grounds and good view from room.
views where good
wifi kept bombing out all the time very frustrating
