Glan Aber Hotel  

Excellent value for money. Very clean and comfortable. Only stopped the 1 night but would definitely stop here again.Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The resturant to the hotel did stop serving food at 8pm a little bit too early.

Location of the hotel is central to the main activities. Staff were helpful, room was comfortable. Food was very good (would recommend). A pleasant stay

Great location, comfortable, clean rooms. A great base for Snowdonia walks, breakfast very nice. Would stay again and will definitely recommend to others.

Betws-y-coed is in wonderful area of North Wales. Glan Aber Hotel is on the main road that runs through the town, very close to the rail station. The staff were very friendly and even though the hotel is old it had a elevator to get to the upper floors.

Although the room was lovely it had only one tiny window up really high , but managed to open it by standing on the furniture. Would have been too warm in room otherwise. Bit noisy till everyone was in bed but slept really well.

The hotel was clean, modern and very well situated within Betws-y-coed, The rooms & bathroom were of a good size, the drinks and biscuits were replenished every day, the breakfast was prompt and great tasting, we will def be staying again.

Some parts of the hotel a little shabby, Lift was out of order

I found the staff extremely obliging as my visa had been blocked on my arrival in England and therefore unable to pay the remainder of my bill. I was offered the office phone to call Canada and straighten out the problem. The meals were excellent, the location was a five minute walk from the train station and the hotel is situated in the middle of the shopping area and park. And did I mention the staff were excellent!

The Hotel has a nice atmosphere with pleasant staff and nice food.

Thought it was expensive compared to other hotels we have stayed at.

Most things, excellent for a one/two night stay.

Breakfast service was slow and a bit chaotic. Ran out of tea/coffee and bread for toast and needed to be reminded. Hotel seemed full and the staff at breakfast had difficulty coping.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the room had everything including a lovely view. Very good meals, particularly enjoyed the breakfast. Perfect location for walks and shops.

There wasn't anything we didn't like, definately go again.

Food good, staff helpful. It was nice to have a visit by the Cor Meibion Betws yn Rhos on the Sunday evening for a one hour session of magnificent singing.

Rooms not very well cleaned - carpets clearly not vacuumed. Check out time is a little early at 10-30. Midday would be much nicer.

Room was not that clean and was not hoovered at all during the stay.

Very good hotel in good location.Staff very nice made you welcome with plenty of parking.We had evening meal and was reasonable and of good quality.

As anglers we were very pleased to find a drying room for our wet gear. This is a great asset not only for anglers but also for hill walkers.

The location suited our trip. The hotel staff were very good and attended our needs well.

The bedroom was very small, not helped by the unrequired extre bed(Room 25). The room was not cleaned properly before our arrival ( an empty water bottle seen underneath extra bed), and the subsequent cleaning failed to reach a decent standard, bathroom, tea cups etc., beds not made up properly. Litter and cleaning materials left forgotten in the lift during the day. Food requested in the dining room not as ordered and when questioned received a shrug of the shoulders asan answer!

Good location in Northern Wales

Staff was distant. Staff was not knowledgeble about local activities. For breakfast scrabbled eggs, they served packaged eggs which were tasteless and when on the plate water ran out. I didn't eat them. The room had 5 pieces of furniture in addition to 2 twin beds and a night stand. There was no room for luggage or room to move about.

Hotel was very clean and comfortable, better than expected after reading reviews, overall enjoyed our stay dispite the weather would stay again. Staff was very friendly and helpful in things to do around the area, has a nice bar to relax in after a busy day walking. Would stay again.

The food wasnt very good. Breakfast had choice of cereals but welsh breakfast was overcooked and sparce. Evening meals seemed popular but when we tried it found it to be bland and overpriced. Wouldn't eat there again.
