WiFi would work sometimes, then would disconnect and wouldn't work for hours, despite seeming to have signal. Anything like a Skype call wouldn't be possible with the intermittent connection.
Staff, food cleanliness
Noise from weddings guests on our visit, noise from the kitchen staff.area outside the back door
Very good bed, which was the main thing. Free car parking with plenty of space.
A little bit further away from things than we realised, but not too bad.
Room was well decorated and comfortable. Excellent bedding and shower. Good parking
The chef was able to accommodate our sons dietary needs in relation to allergies.
I had a 9 o'clock appointment at Gartnaval hospital .The hospital is about an hour and a half's drive from our home so my wife and I, decided to stay overnight at the Pond hotel, as it is adjacent to the hospital. We did not know how long the scan would take, but were assured by the hotel staff that if it ran beyond 12 noon, the checkout time, this would not be a problem. We found the beds very comfortable and the breakfast very good. Also, the room was very quiet.
Evening meal not a lot to chose form
Almost everything food first class
Service a wee bit slow at times
expensive for what you got no breakfast
Staff were really really lovely and the breakfast was pretty great, lots of options.
Room was hot and noisy. I guess the weather was pretty ridiculously nice, and no one in Glasgow was probably prepared for it. The birds on the pond and the traffic were quite noisy as I had to have the window open the whole stay because it was so hot.
Location Parking area
The hotel is in a nice area of Glasgow and my wife and I enjoyed the friendly Scots of the town.I have never been in a more welcoming and humouris place in my many vacations. Jimmy Aird
Busy as the staff were with numerous coaches full of people arriving they handled everything with such amazing professionalism. They worked so hard all the time.
All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful
Hotel was excellent.
Only drawback was that internet was not working on hotel computer. Also receptionest could be clearly heard to tell guests that internet was possibly working even though he clearly knew that it was not working. Furthermore the card key very seldom worked.
Location was good for where we were visiting Car parking Restaurant Room facilities
Room located next to lift and extractor fan from kitchen so quite noisy.
The decor inside.
Room was too hot Windows didn't open Fan supplied was not good enough Far to expensive for the type of hotel and where it was situated. In a horrible area.
Watching the ducks paddle from the bedroom window. Walking around the pond in the fresh air. Comfort, cleanliness of staff and friendly welcoming smile. Very tasty food, well presented and colourful. Car parking availability and pleasant staff at barrier.
Friendly and helpful staff
Room was warm but the weather was unusual for Scotland (hot). Fan was provided upon request.
Rooms are very small and crammed. Staff is very rude. Food in restaurant is mediocre at best and overpriced. Definitely not a four star hotel. Very poor value for the cost.
Staff were friendly, hotel clean, nice room and food was good.
The price. I realise the commonwealth games were in Glasgow (the reason we were in Glasgow) but £243 for a triple room when it is normally £80 was really overpriced. I think you could have included breakfast at that price.
Near hospitals and taxicab
Noisy by garage and price. It games was on
Really good location in the lovely West End of Glasgow. Easy access to city centre with good links by train or bus - taking only 15 mins. Staff welcoming and attentive. Food good and affordable.
Room a bit stuffy but weather was exceptionally hot when we arrived.
