Good breakfast. Suitably situated for university area and museums. Good bus service to city centre.
£5 taxi into centre, comfortable spacious room. Clean toilet. Excellent place to stay for a weekend in Glasgow to shop/party.
Poor signal on television.
Room really comfortable, lots of hot water, tv good quality and staff so friendly and helpful, especially to my elderly mother.
Very clean really nice rooms Nice decor threwout .breakfast was excellent
Every time a door closed on our floor which was 2 it banged .could do with some soft closing quipment
Staff, each and every one brilliant Cleanliness / Comfort Car parking Value for money
The rooms were very comfortable and the free parking was a real boon. Not having to check out until 12 noon was very helpful also.
location, friendly staff & good value for money
Bedding looked a bit tired i.e. it was visibly threadbare
a comfortable stay in a nice hotel
a small distance from the city centre, but quick by bus or taxi
we have stayed at the pond many times in the last 5 years and it is always a nice experience the rooms are nice and comfy, the food is well cooked, and all the staff are very pleasant and helpful we think our stays are good value for money and our next trip we will book the pond.
It was near where we wanted to be. Good price. The room was very clean and pleasant and the hotel was quiet overnight.
Couldn't connect to the Internet and reception staff couldn't help.
The room was unbearably hot, even with the window open and radiators turned off. We phoned down to reception (which purports to be staffed through the night) to ask for a fan, which is also advertised as available, but were unable to raise anybody. Sleep was impossible and we couldn't wait to leave (without breakfast) in the morning.
Staff were great Breakfast good Good room
Evening meal, ordered fish and it was a piece of breaded type you would get from Iceland. The waiter said it was fresh from the fishmonger that day, this I don't believe. The duty manager changed the meal at no cost and he said he would not have eaten it. Tell the customer the truth.
I've used this hotel many times, and always look forward to staying there. Free car parking at the door is excellent, and location is,for me very good. quality evening meal, and a faultless breakfast.
The condition of the bathroom left a bit to be desired. The toilet seat was quite badly chipped, and the wash hand basin cracked. Some of the grouting between the tiles was dirty and black in the corner. The hot tap was cold water, and the cold tap was hot. Made a note of the room number, and won't have it again.
The free parking Twin beds Clear TV Tea and coffee facilities in the room
The way the room doors close. They are slammed forcefully by a device. They prevent you from falling asleep in the evening and wake you up too early in the morning! Operating the very complicated taps of the shower. The "dark" route to the traffic lights and the M&S shop
-Wasn't too expensive - nice food
- way out of glasgow, so a bit of a pain to get to - shower was pretty naff - door handle was falling off - breakfast too expensive so didn't bother
Calculating value over what you get for is the simple evaluation when comparing a good hotel to a great hotel. I'd class this a very good hotel. Great car parking, friendly people, good solid breakfast.
the lift unfortunately broke so had to make three trips down the stairs with my heavy equipment that I did not want to leave in the car - but these things happen.
Easy Access with plenty of free parking. Good self serve breakfast. Efficient check in/out
Room small. Rm 320 hot and stuffy, had a fan in December so long term problem. Noisy, overlooking Gt Western Road.
Location and Staff
No Sky TV and very poor Wi-Fi Connection
Nice friendly comfortable hotel.
Just a bit too far from city centre need taxi journey to centre but a nice distance if you are going to Byers Rd.
location, accessibility by car or public transport, really comfortable rooms, friendly staff, great value for money
there was nothing we didn't like
So handy for Gartnavel Hosp & the breakfasts were brilliant. Staff very helpful.
Nothing. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
A very well organised and managed Hotel, where all the staff seem very well trained to accommodate the guests various requirements. I must mention the room attendant called Lynne who went to the trouble of leaving a thank you note for me after I had left a gratuity on my pillow. I would have no hesitation recommending this establishment to anyone for a quality Hotel at a very reasonable rate.
Staff very friendly food great and breakfast was very good
Staff were welcoming. We were heading out to a concert and the staff organised a taxi to pick us up in advance so we wouldn't get stuck in traffic. Great value and lovely pond area. Buffet breakfast was amazing. Definitely returning to this hotel.
Staff courteous and helpful. Room clean and comfortable; good size.
