Warm, clean room
The pillows were small and hard. The duvet was very thin. I would have preferred a thicker duvet so that I can turn the heating down when sleeping.
We did a little groan when we pulled up to this place. The architecture was poor so we didn't expect much. We were pleasantly surprised by the lovely interior.
I have been staying at The Pond for more than 40 years as a business traveller and now retired would still choose it when in Glasgow. It is easy to get to being just off Great Western Rd. (on major bus routes) with free parking for guests. The breakfast (extra) was hot and substantial. Too tired to go out the previous evening we ate in the restaurant which was good. Staff very friendly.
Good location /comfortable/ value for money.
Price is great. Room was large and spacious. Reception staff were very helpful & friendly. Restaurant food was nice but limited menu.
Room was close to lift so got little sleep due to the number of revellers passing by throughout the small hours of the morning. Room was also above the waste & recycling bins so woken early in the morning by the waste collection vehicles / smashing glass. Due to non-availability of an alternative room I had to endure 2 weeks of this. Could only pick up wi-fi if I stood by the door of the room.
Good parking and comfortable bedroom which was nice and clean.
hotel was the nearest to the hospital. hotel food and service was good. accommodation was very clean and comfortable
we were booked in for one night, relative was very unwell and was kept in hospital, we managed to book the same room for the same price for the second night, however we needed to stay a 3rd night room was not available another room was going to cost us £30 more [room only], staff on duty were not helpful in what became a very stressful lsituation for myself and my mother who is 84yrs [dad 84yrs] in hospital very ill. we had to make alternate arrangements staying an hour away.
very good and handy for work
can't find any
Bed very comfortable
Would have liked to see some plain meals on menu i.e. roast chicken meal, steak pie, omelette
The windows need more double glazing to kill the noise
Staff very friendly and accommodating, great restaurant. Nice price.
Not well signposted from main road, takes some finding.
Staff were so helpfull
Friendly, helpful staff.
Group of children Sat pm but quickly calmed down.
Assistance given by staff
Convenient venue for getting into Glasgow by public transport. A perfectly adequate dining service. Good quality of food and reasonable wine prices.
No major complaints about this hotel.
Love this hotel ! Got married here and also stay there when we have nights out in Glasgow. !! Xx
Hello, it was my second time I states in this hotel. We enjoyed our stay. Our stay was very good and we enjoyed. Just need to draw attention on some things. 1.Exhaust in toilet was not working or may be there no exhaust. 2. Carpets in room have dust and I am with hey fever was suffering sneezing most of time. 3. Car parking as we have to wait to find the car parking as other people who don't stay also parked their cars.
I have explained above. I like but can be improved....
great location great food and good parking
How helpful and friendly the staff were.
Couldn't complain about anything.
Thought the staff were wonderful. It was s bust weekend, but nothing was to much trouble.
The staff were all very helpful and pleasant. Nothing was to much trouble.
There was a wedding on our first night, we were warned on arrival that the music would go on till midnight. What we didn't realise was that our room was 107 right above the fungi on, having driven for 8 and half hours we were exhausted and needed to sleep, this wasn't going to happen because when the music stopped at 00:15 we then had to endure the wedding party who seemed to all been the same floor as us until well into the early hours, shouting, knocking on doors and running up and down the corridors. This we feel could have been avoided if we had been given a room on a higher level.
Large clean room, with big bed & nice bathroom. Good breakfast buffet. Nice staff. Good value.
Location on the outskirts of city, not walkable to centre. Noise from other rooms, doors slamming (not fault of the hotel). Thin pillows.
excellent staff ,very helpful and friendly could not do enough for you.
Value for money.
