The staff is amazing, so attentive and really cares about you as a person. Spent multiple weeks here at different times. Got to know some of staff. They are great!
All the walking up and down stairs to get to different levels for kitchen, sleeping, laundry, etc. the hostel is quite compartmentalized, perhaps this contributes to a sense of not being able to connect to other people and have a feeling of a sense of community. I did meet and connect with some people which was great, such as in the kitchen or my roommates. But I think there could be activities/small events planned where people could come together more.
Clean room, not to far from the center & friendly & helpful staff.
a little expensive
The location, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, tasteful furnishings and very good facilities
The beds are quite narrow. I also like natural bedding, so did not like the polycotton sheets and the lollow fibre duvet.
Comfy bed, good facilities, nice location next to kelvingrove park but walking distance from city centre. I've stayed many times as it's perfect for my work meetings in Glasgow.
Room was too hot, but easily remedied by opening the window!
The location, staff and kitchen were awesome. If you get the train or the bus in, get the subway to Kelvingrove. Otherwise it's a half hour walk.
No power plugs in rooms that reached the bunks.
Price was very reasonable, needed a cheap place to crash for the night going to a gig, Glasgow was busy due to the Scotland v England football match; Location on the edge of Kelvingrove Park, a short walk to Argyle & Sauchiehall Streets then a little further to the SSE Hydro; Building is very attractive inside, lots of ornate woodwork; Rooms are basic, yet clean and have comfy (bunk) beds; Helpful staff, who gave us information on best walking routes to where we needed to go; Perfect spot to lay your head after a few beers in town; Would stay there again and recommend the Hostel to others.
Something in the bathroom was firing up all night (like a pump), but did not detract from the overall experience.
Liked how all of us were in the same room! Usually we would've had to pay extra for 2!
Too much of a walk from the town
The friendliness of the staff and the relaxed atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble and we couldn't have asked for more help. We were visiting family who live just around the corner. The Hostel meant we could have quiet comfortable time as well as quality time with our family who were naturally concerned that we were well looked after. Smiles all round - we wouldn't stay anywhere else in Glasgow and can't thank your staff enough!
The staff are really nice and helpful. I had a nice stay here
I had a single room. Bed made up, towel provided, tea/coffee making in room and en suite all at an excellent price. Very comfortable stay.

The shower, and location
The staff where rather unfriendly and depressed looking. The single bed was child's size and uncomfortable. I was in fear for the entire night of falling out. Also the fact there was no lift or help carrying my luggage as I ended up on the top floor was hard as I'm 4 wks pregnant and exhausted! Thank goodness my friend helped. For the price of £50 for one night, to have an awful sleep , hear intimate details of next doors wknd as the walls where as thin as ryvita , and be ignored by staff when we were leaving was really disappointing.
too hot in room
Friendly personal, clean, feel comfortable
It felt 'fraiche' or modern, and it was quiet and peaceful.
It took long time to get there from Buchanan bus station, because of traffic jam.
beautiful en suite comfortable bed with good pillows
lack of bedside light
hard to find in dark and rain from train station
Liked the very friendly efficient staff. The cleanliness of the premises was wonderful. Location was perfect. It was the perfect stop over before making our way to Isle of Islay. Unfortunately it was booked out on our return. Not surprising though it was of such a high standard.
personally, the very first thing I do after check-in is to connect to the wifi…always think its free and included in the fee…but here its not……
Basic, but comfortable for a youth hostel. I would stay again.
i liked the feeling of freedom and respect. The place is clean and friendly. The house is in a very exclusive area, facing a park, total silence at night.
No elevators, a little far from the bus stop.
Booking in too late
Price! Lovely white fluffy towels
Far from the city centre Ensuite toilet needs the panelling round the sink scrubbing Could hear the actual conversation the couple in the next room were having (at 6.30am!!)
