Free breakfast Central location lovely Italian restaurant next door
Heating was a bit hit and miss
Excellent staff, good room, really good value for money.
Breakfast was poor.
Thought staff very polite and considerate
good sized room and en-suite
nothing not to like
Good location with views up and down the Clyde. Free wi-fi which was pretty good. Close to city centre shops and restaurants.
The breakfast was rather disappointing and unimaginative. As a Scottish located hotel I was surprised that "porridge" was not on the menu!
Some noise from a motor/ extractor fan in adjoining premise. Stopped at about 11.15pm each evening.after that v quiet.
Lovely clean room and bathroom. Friendly staff. Free breakfast. Good location
departing safe in the knowledge i will never be back
Room was dirty, bed was lumpy, bathroom smelled of urine. Breakfast cutlery was unclean. Why do hotels think that this is acceptable ??
Comfortable bed nice clean rooms, friendly staff, and was so easy to walk to the centre of the city .
Breakfast was not that great not much choice.
Clean room. Lovely breakfast.
The room was very comfortable .
There was nothing to dislike .
We liked the friendly staff. We liked the breakfast. We liked the proximity to a lovely Italian restaurant . We liked Glasgow !
We did not like the wait for a taxi which the hotel ordered from firm with which they deal . Far easier to hail our own taxi .We had to eventually cancel and flagged one down no bother !!
As the titile I love the free Wifi and the free breakfast. The Wifi needs you to register if using for longer periods but it is free which for me is very important. The breakfast is eat as much as you like and has a simple English fare as well as a simple Continental selection. Includes free coffee, tea and juices from a machine. The hotel has an ice machine too. Many hotels do not understand how important this is to many travellers. Also, although no restuarant as such, you can bring food to the rooms and there is a microwave in the lobby free to use. Friendly staff and I would definately use this hotel again (this is already my second time).
The hotel has no car park. Not much can be done about this as it is a city. You can park in some streets for free after 6pm and before 8am. There is ample parking across the road but be careful as is an NCP which work 24/7 and can be expensive. I understand you can get a discopunt if you speak to reception. The location is not far from Argyle street but quite a way from the Buchanon (Newer) shopping areas. Perhaps not really a negative but as Glasgow is a bit hilly it needs consideration.
Close to city center.
Loud, poor breakfast
Good Breakfast selection and handy central location.
As seems to be the standard experience of an affordable city centre hotel at the weekend we had an early morning fire alarm activation during the stay. We couldn't see any signs that showed where the assembly point was so most hotel guests decided to stand right next to the building during the alarm.
Good all round
The reception staff were very good . Location was very good and breakfast was good
the room maid not so! We arrived on Thursday and departed Sunday. We got drinks in bar on way to room and same again on the way from night out, by the time we left there were 12 glasses in our room!! The barmaid was struggling for glasses in the bar .
The staff were very friendly and willing to help with anything we needed. The room was clean. 10 min walk to any where in the city. Nice restaurant next door. Great to be able to have breakfast in the morning.
Location was superb. Staff were very helpful.
location, cleanliness and staff
breakfast could have been better/more fresh, wifi bit weak
Friendly and helpful staff, rooms spotless, especially the toilet. Food really tasty and plenty of it. I also liked the fact that we were asked at checkout if we enjoyed our stay and this doesn't always happen in more expensive hotels we have stayed in. Keep up the good work.
Nothing to dislike
We think this hotel is a good base to explore Glasgow. Friendly staff, nice and clean room, good breakfast. We enjoyed the location as you are on walking distance from various major streets and the beautiful george square. Good restaurants in the area of Albion street, only 5 minutes walk away.
We liked the breakfast easy walking distance to everywhere we needed friendly staff and cleanliness in room and rest of hotel
The one thing a didn't like was the lift door was bit dodgy when a was about to get in lift the door started to close and caught my arm but am ok
Great staff who are friendly and happy to help. Rooms spacious and spotless
comfortable bed bar available helpful staff great, quick transfer to city centre lift Area to relax in lobby easy to fly home !!!
hot breakfast could have been more varied on a daily basis but the rest good
