Staff Morning breakfast Facilities Location
Over priced Lack of bar staff Info in room
Lovely location. Close to SECC and centre of town was just a short taxi ride away.
Our room next to the lifts which needed an oil/grease as we could hear the lifts in the morning. Our room was meant to be in a quiet zone but no peace for us with those lifts squeaking
Enjoyed every minute, nice room, nice sized bed, relaxing bar, unhurried breakfast in the morning, definitely retuning 5 star performance.
Location - walking distance to the city centre but pleasantly situated in a quiet area overlooking the Clyde. Excellent breakfast room staff and very good facilities.
We had an Executive Room. Superb. Access to the wine and tapas was a real bonus! Food was superb. Great Western Australian wine. Very friendly staff. Unbelievably clean and modern. Parking gave easy access to hotel
The venue for an awards dinner is perfect. Loved the location on the Clyde - easy to get to and within short reach of city centre
Location Service Quality
Staff were very helpful.
The bathroom decor , whilst clean, was rather dated and a bit shabby. We had difficulty accessing the wifi.
the room was great with a great view the staff were very helpful
entrance had scaffolding, looked awful front entrance was full of young, drunk smokers we had to negotiate through very expensive for the style of room
The location was perfect for our theatre break ,, easy access into the city
There was nothing I didn't like ,, e
The WIFI system was slow, constantly breaking down and to all extents non-existent. I wish I had read warnings of other reviews
comfortable room friendly staff great leisure facilities minutes from station and glasgow centre
Breakfast, brilliant! Gym and pool very good. Location quite good for a lot of visitor attractions, but not too good for town centre. Train, bus, taxi very near.
Room too hot at night, poor room ventilation unless you leave the heating/aircon on all night at that is noisy.
Quiet location with great views
A bit out of town but plenty of taxis waiting
Location. Views. Big bed.
Waitress service at breakfast too busy chatting to offer coffee had to go to them and again for a teaspoon. Not the best.
Location it wasn't a far walk but it was far enough away.
Pillows were to high
The room view, the king size bed, service in general. Near the SECC very convenient for conferences but not if you want to be in the town center.
The spa wasn't the best I've been but still OK. I think the room could cost a bit cheaper too.
Very convenient hotel, as my conference was at the exhibition centre, and there was an internal link. Impressed with little things, such as the sleep kit and free aromatherapy
Staff were very helpful and in fact I was entertaining an aunt to lunch but she arrived very early and we were out sightseeing she was very well looked after by a particular female member of staff and in fact was offered a free drink while she was waiting for us to arrive. That was exceptional in my opinion.
Location was excellent, however, it was rather disappointing to find that the price for an overnight stay increased from £79 on the Friday to £138 on the Saturday. I had specifically requested a double room but was issued with a twin room. Did not complain - so that was my fault, perhaps they would have changed the room, however, was tired and just wanted to relax. Evening meal was very nice, however, lunch was not.
Food was very good, excellent breakfast. Staff most helpful. Lovely walks in both directions along the Clyde embankment. Direct access to the SECC.
Can't think of anything
Room was amazing Leisure Facilities were great Great Views from room facilities is room were excellent.
Breakfast was not of great quality for the price of £10.00 per person, did not matter how little or much you ate it was the same price. please bear in mind you can request a double room through booking.com, however you are not guaranteed to get it, they automatically try to get you to take a twin first before offering a double, providing 1 is available. over £4 a pint is daylight robbery, also £10.00 for internet access is steep.
The location was excellent, a brisk walk into the city although the area we went through has seen better days. Car parking was reasonably priced for a city location. Staff very helpful.
Bed a little uncomfortable. Some parts of hotel need a little TLC.
I was attending WDYTYA exhibit at SECC, just strolled through corridor to it, looking at all the folk with umbrellas and raincoats. Room was big, noise from other rooms could have been annoying if I had been asleep. Staff were really friendly and As a lone traveller the bar area was nice to sit in and eat without going into restaurant on my own ... Nice selection of food, well presented
No directory in room... I never did find ice machine. Bathroom area a little dated, door wouldn't close unless locked not exactly a problem as I was on my own. Paying for wifi in a hotel is so outdated..... You get free wifi in a hostel in china...it would also be good if there was a plug near bed for phone, lots of folk use this as their alarm or even clock.
