Being greeted by the very charming Scottish concierge wearing the trilby who added a very nice touch to the lobby. The lack of parking is inconvenient as I stayed in the Howard last time I was in Edinburgh and they actually have a parking service and their own car park. The lack of a connection between the Omni Centre and the hotel should also be considered. The fact that having driven miles, the fact that you have to leave your car, check in, then drive the car around to park then walk all the way back to the hotel is certainly not the beginning of a relaxing time nor a welcoming way to arrive at a 'luxury' hotel! It rained the two nights I was there and having to use the car during the day meant I returned to the hotel soaked every time. The two solutions I would offer is to either offer a parking service or to connect the hotel to the Omni Centre. |

Lovely design features and a great roof top garden with views over Edinburgh. Friendly staff who carried through requests. Not at all suitable for small children, no restaurant, shower leaked. |

The staff were excellent, and the layout of the hotel was good. The honesty bar was a very warm, inviting place. The room had limited space. |

I liked the fact that you were treated like you were the only guest staying at the hotel - It was just great.... For the price I paid it felt too good to be true It would have been nice to have an actual bar in the hotel but the honesty bar was an ok alternative, but it would be nice to just pay for drinks as and when you want them. |

Room was very comfortable. Rooftop garden is a great view. Staff could not be nicer. Good central loction for shopping, dining etc. Drunken wedding guests shouting down the corridor at 3 in the morning was hardly the highlight of my stay. My wife was not impressed with lack of vanity mirror in our room. Apparently this is important. |

The waiting staff were very helpful and polite. I think the decor is getting " tired " -- it has lost it's cutting edge. |

The staff were amazing, the best I have ever encountered. The Hotel was a one off - really different - which I enjoyed very much. My room overlooked the roof garden which was wonderful. My sister did not like the fact there was no main hub, as no where to eat at the hotel, but they had a wonderful lounge area with a lovely fire and they were happy to serve food to us there, which was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. |

The bed was the best I have ever slept in! It was noisy at night and we were charged for breakfast, after we left on our credit card, although we were on an inclusive rate, we were also charged for what should have been a complimentary newspaper. |

'Front of the house' service was excellent - other staff good accomodation very good The breakfast quality was very poor if ordering a cooked breakfast. The claim that everything was freshly cooked was certainly not true of thje dishes I ordered on two occasions |
