Staff were fantastic, great personal attention and service. Room service food was good and not to pricey. Roof top garden is an excellent spot to sit and relax The twin room in which my daughters stayed was on floor two directly over an outdoor bar area and busy road junction. The noise from that and a nightclub kept them awake until 3am the first night and they bought ear plugs the next morning for the following night |

All staff, without exception, were very friendly and helpful without being over the top. Room service was prompt. The bed was extremely comfortable and unusually for me I got a good night's sleep. Breakfast choice was excellent. The roof garden would be great on a warm day. As a woman on her own I felt very comfortable there. |

Myself and my fiancee stayed at the hotel to celebrate our engagement the hotel was absolutely superb and the staff were excellent. Will definitely return soon for another stay in the best hotel we have ever stayed in. We could not fault the hotel in anywayit is out of this world. |

It was very convenient. Room had a balcony which was lovely but a main road is nearby and it was noisy. Very bland and coporate in feel. a lost opportunity for some really inventive interior design. The room mini bar is outrageously expensive. The hotel operated a so called honesty bar for residents but the price encourage guests to be anything other than honest!!! Also the hotel had no record of my reservation on our arrival and we were obliged to wait for a room to be prepared. |

Excellent hotel, very good location (just a few minutes walk from the old town), very confortable superior room, clean and spacious, nice balcony with a view on the famous Calton Hill. Considering the very high price paid, breakfast should have been included. I know it's a five star hotel, but despite being Edinburgh a beautiful town, it cannot apply the same prices as bigger towns so my only advice is they should include breakfast in the room price. |

The Glasshouse is a beatiful place to visit. The staff are excellent. The roof garden is tranquil; it doesn't feel like you're in the city centre. Lovely breakfast to order, not just "under the lights buffet" like so many other places. Will stay again. |

There was a doorman opening the doors for their guests, which was a touch of class! The honest bar is a fantastic idea, how can you not help yourself to a drink? Breakfast was fab! Parking was a bit of a nightmare and expensive eventhough we received discount through the hotel. |

The bathroom was beautiful. Staff were so lovely, helpful and could not have done more for us. Our room overlooked the stunning roof terrace which was lovely. I loved the honesty bar and the breakfast was stunning. All in all if you want a night away somewhere like the glasshouse to treat your loved one, do it! Parts of the rooms were a little shabby like the paintwork and some marks on the carpet. TV was old and could have been replaced with a more funky modern one to keep up with the hotel and films were expensive - £10.50? |

the hotel upgraded our room when we checked in, as it was my partners 40th birthday, it was wonderful gesture and suprise. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous in every department. |

Staff were wonderful, breakfast was excellent, views from the windows (when located at the rear) were lovely onto the roof garden and Calton Hill. Bed was very comfortable, room service was good, and toiletries were fantastic Lighting was frustrating, especially bedside lights at night. Also one night was a karaoke party on the roof terrace, and the sound system bass from the cinema beneath the room was sometimes audible, but these both stopped around 11:30pm. Air conditioning was a bit rumbly too! |

Friendly & helpfull staff combined with a very intresting hotel ambiance centrally located. No hotel/airport courtsey bus & no hotel restuaunt which made our stay seem very expensive. |
