I liked the staff and the car park, and the proximity to Warwick.
I didn't like the window which was tiny and above my height so couldn't look out. The swimming pool was small. The breakfast was limited(only one herb tea and soggy toast) and no personal shower gel/bath soap/shampoo.Bar was rather bleak and lack of artistic taste.
The receptionist went out of her way to look after me. The chef came and talked to me as I am pregnant and a vegetarian, and he was willing to make me anything I wanted. Lovely people!
My bed was very hard, but that is down to personal preferance.
Great breakfasts. We were there for a family funeral, and the spread that they put on was wonderful! staff kind and curtious, could not fault it.
Room adequate. Gym good. Breakfast good. Excellent location.
Evening meal wasnt the best.
I liked the room, the bar and the restaurant. Very nice location
found it strange that at breakfast we helped ourselves , but had to order eggs at the same time which were brought to us when we had nearly finished everything else.
The staff were nice and helpful.
Double room adequate for one person, but would have been too small if I'd travelled with my husband. Fittings "tired" looking. "Leisure centre" facilities were more DIY than professional. The sauna didn't have an hour glass, no bucket of water to put on the coals. Shower was totally inadequate.
The hotel itself was beautiful, and breakfast couldn't have been nicer situated in the conservatory.
The room desperately needed some decorating and a new bathroom fitted.
Great staff. Very helpful and pleasant
Being given a room with a window so high up that we could not see out of it
Lovely quiet & easy to find location. Many attractions locally. Nice food, friendly staff, good facilities.
Beds were soft but that's personal opinion.
The ambience was lovely, the staff and service very good, the quality of food was excellent and not over- priced. Would strongly recommend to everyone !
Needs updating and poor cleanliness
Very tired décor, room not terribly clean, ridiculous four poster décor. : .
Very friendly and helpful staff Beautiful building. Very comfortable and good value.
Steam room, pool, staff, classic hotel.
Very large comfortable room
Hot water took about 10 minuates to come through. I was wasting a lot of water. Bathroom/tiles could do with a make over.
Uncomfortable bed.. not enough menu info. Changing rooms for pool falling to bits.
Good sized room in a quiet village. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast excellent with a good choice.
Bed was uncomfortable we could feel the springs and ver hard.
The historic, convenient location.
Our bed was not very comfortable.
Breakfast was excellent. All Staff were friendly & very helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean.
The Shower Head in Room 217 needs to be descaled on a regular basis in order to improve water flow.
restaurant and bar were nice and friendly. the food was good value for money. the swimming pool and leisure facilities were good and the room was nice and clean.
on check out the card machine wasn't working so we had to pay cash. not a problem, these things happen.
The staff were fantastic, especially Lisa, the hotel was very comfy, really enjoyed the swimming pool, steam room and sauna, great location
The TV channels were not available could only watch a few programmes although we didn't really want the TV on as was hardly in room, but would of been nice to have had them.
the location was very good and the gardens were nice and staff friendly
the window in the room was above head height so there was not any view and also there was a thunder storm and lightning in the night and we could not close the window apart from that the room was very nice
Lovely public rooms and restaurant, welcoming and homely. Breakfast was lovely for a full english but no croissants or danish. Staff were great on the whole. Well placed for exploring Warwick and surrounds.
Room not serviced properly, with no soap or shampoo. Corrected by a reluctant receptionist. Electric wall socket loose in my room (kindle recharge) and all just a bit old fashioned. Can't remember when I last saw a bed with a wall canopy/elaborate headboard. I think I took up the last car parking space; I was late, so it was probably that.
when an issue was raised th staff dealt with it promtley
rooms need a re-furb
