Situated in central Inverness, Ardross Glencairn is just 5 minutes’ walk from the river and 15 minutes from the bus and rail station.
Score from 1795 reviews Very good
This grand hotel has a great location in the heart of Inverness, yet in a quiet area with splendid views of the River Ness and Inverness Castle.
Score from 773 reviews Good
Pentahotel Inverness is just 100 metres from the city's train and bus stations. A 20-minute drive from the shores of Loch Ness, it offers free WiFi, colourful rooms and a 24-hour front desk.
Score from 565 reviews Very good
Sheets looked slept in. Could hear snoring from room above. Windows insecure. Locks broken.
Location and good bathroom. Very friendly staff at breakfast
No bad experience
Great location on banks of River Ness.
Only negative .was the sofa in our room (120) was very uncomfortable to sit on even for a short time. Somewhere more comfortable to relax and read/watch TV would have been better
Central location, near to all city facilities. Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely choice at breakfast. Spacious accommodation. Almost perfect!
Poor bar service and breakfast service
Paid an extra £20 for a room with a river view but room window was too small to justify the extra money. It would be nice to be told when booking that you were going to be put into an annexed and not staying in the main hotel. The window in our room 721 was broken and wouldn't close and had no safety catch bit of a problem if you had children (health and safety issue) otherwise a nice stay .
Room was clean and bed was comfy
Thought the breakfast was quite mean
Lovely large river looking room
Prices marked on bathroom soaps and bottled water. One tiny pkt shortbread for two guests.
Good breakfast. Quiet location.
The deluxe room we upgraded to, needs a refurb, and does the bathroom, no tiling/wetwall around shower area! No free extras(shoe shine etc, even the bottle of mineral water was £3.95)even had to pay £4.99 to park our car.
Nicos restaurant and bar, lovely food, quite pricey though.
The small couch in our room had seen better days and could be doing with being replaced.
Nico's restaurant was good food and great staff but very overpriced.
Very friendly staff and a perfect location
That I paid the same price for a single-room than I did for a double on previous visits.
love the setting- perfect walking outside the front-door. River view is spectacular!
Very uncomfortable bes and hot water kept going cold in shower.
One very minor point the en suite bathroom was a little on the small side but clean and well appointed
Good all round value, staff pleasant and helpful, parking good value.
The lighting wasn't the best in the main room. And the double bed was 2 singles put together
Very spacious and fancy
the bathroom plumbing was very noisey. the bed was uncomfortable. the bar had empty glasses and cups sitting on empty tables that needed a wipe to clean them up, the bar was not busy so bar staff had plenty of time to keep area tidy.
the location. the breakfast staff were cheerfull and efficient.
We didn't have a lift so were a bit stressed for getting bags up the stairs, but then a staff member gave us a hand with the bags. The view was worth it because it was lovely day and night.
We loved staying in a room with a view of the Ness and the desk clerks at the hotel were very kind and helpful.
Its quiet location but close proximity to both the city centre and arts and leisure facilities make it the near perfect location.
Simple and straightforward to book in, staff helpful without be overbearing.
liked room bed comfortable, excellent restaurant , friendly efficient staff
Having to pay for car parking when staying at the hotel and also having to pay for wifi
Location was brilliant and lovely views over the river
Did not really have a bad experience - but found the hotel a little run down and the staff a bit vague at times. Ladies serving breakfast were really nice - breakfast was a bit hit and miss. Some days nice, other days not so nice.
The location was fantastic.
The en suite was a bit shabby and did not match the bedroom. Needs updating.
The bedroom was nice and clean.
They have no tooth paste!
Location is good
If you like living like a student in dormitory conditions and are under 5 foot in height, you will love this place. From the smallest bed in the world to the box size room and bathroom, please don't think of booking in if you are looking for something else. The hotel must be congratulated for being able to fit bedrooms into such small rooms !!!
Breakfast offered the minimum requirements without anything further.
Good service, nice bar, good breakfast.
