Score from 809 reviews Very good
I would recommend this hotel to anyone, it is a 5 minute walk to the Centre of Inverness and the view over the river is lovely. Great value for money and the room was beautifuland clean. Staff were very friendly as I didn't know the area.
Nothing at all.
Excellent selection at breakfast
Very small single room but great value all the same
Friendly staff, good location
Bit disappointed with breakfast and the comfort of the bed this stay
Good location well run hotel
So good to stay in a hotel with original features preserved; creating a genuine atmosphere. Food and all facilities, top grade with friendly staff. Good parking space. An easy walk to city center.
No bad experiences.
I enjoyed the beautiful region and the hospitality. The room was spacious and very comfortable. There was a nice window to the river Ness. In the winter, it was marvellous, in the summer it will be probably even better!
I enjoyed the facilities. Loved the raging log fires and the evening meal was very nice. Service was friendly and efficient. Very good location with a river view from the dining room.
The coffee and tea at breakfast was always cold. I would have preferred a pot of tea at breakfast. It was a bit annoying so I mostly made tea in my room.
The room was clean and comfortable and staff were friendly but unobtrusive. Breakfast being served until 11 am is a boon in winter.
The bathroom door in room 715 needed a hefty shove to close it completely otherwise no complaints.
Room overlooking river was warm, clean and very nicely decorated with a large en-suite. Very nice!
Very noisy room with uncomfortable bed and pillows. Annoying to pay for wifi when we had already paid for the room and no complimentary water in rooms!
Friendly helpfull staff car park large
Duvets on single beds a little on small side but had spare so used 2.
The breakfast was plentiful, the staff friendly and the room warm with gas central heating that was on all the time during a very chilly January weekend.
They charged you over £4 something IF you wanted to take away their hand soap and body and shower soap. it seemed tacky.
I liked where the hotel was situated and also the lay-out of the room was ideal. The receptionist women called Victoria was a lovely bubbly girl and made my stay a very welcoming and happy stay
I didn't like how the shower filled up at the bottom. I also didn't like how cold the room could get even with the heating on.
The staff were patient and polite. The food was very good and served promptly. The views of the river and castle from the room were magnificant. The menu for evening meals was of very good quality and not expensive for the quality and choice.
I am a pensioner and found it difficult to climb so many stairs to the second floor in an ajoining building. It was snowing so having to go into a different building for breakfast worried me. I felt unsure on the slippy paths and steps.
Good food ,good service,good beer.
We were in room620 difficult to access when you have osteoarthritis Should have asked for a ground floor room.
Have stayed here quite a few times before and will do again. Love it - great location and the service, as always was fantastic. V comfy and relaxing.
Nothing to not like. Only new addition is the parking charge of £5 but thats understandable as its quite limited.
Bed Location Breakfast
Having to pay for parking
Location ideal for me - half way between the Eden Court where I was working and the Castle Tavern! Room small but tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Brasserie meal excellent and good value, 5pm opening perfect for me. Breakfast good, price great. I'll definitely try to stay here again
Was greeted by warm & friendly staff, great location to the centre of Inverness. Room was excellent, we had stayed at one of the apartments a months previous. Looking forward to staying again.
Poor lighting in bedroom, hot water tap almost scalding, rooms good do with a touch of paint
Nice staff, good breakfast.
Paying for wifi. Sarcastic notices on the soap and shampoo.
Very clean and peaceful, Good breakfast. Reception Staff was very helpful
Lovely room overlooking river ness.
Restaurant was very cold in evening.
Comfortable beds, very good service and quiet area
As our apartment was not in the main building we had to get out of it and walk outside to the main building every morning for breakfast.... Breakfast was good unless you order pancakes.
