Perfect distance from centre Nice big room
Bathroom door didn't lock Bath leaked
evening meal and breakfast good
The restaurant staff were lovely
Location.was very near from train station , River Ness in front, Bathroom was clean and nice,
Our bedroom n*500,did not have a window, was very dark, you could not see a thing, When I booked I asked for a Room with a view to River Ness, but our only window was direct to a small wall in ground floor and you can see only cars and people walking from one building to another.
The food was very good. The situation of the hotel was very nice and nearby to the town.We were allowed to leave our vehicle in the car park until we had finished our sightseeing. Thank you
The ceiling light was not bright enough and there was no socket for the one bedside light. The windows had opaque glass therefore no view from the window. A noisy room but this was eventually resolved by a member of the reception team.
Staff very helpful - staff a real asset to the business Breakfasts excellent Location good
First room allocated was unacceptable - minute shower and toilet; Second room marginally better - but still very small shower and toilet. Standard of decoration was poor (stains on ceiling) and dripping sound at night.
the bed was uncomfortable, staff were very rude on checking in and out, units were damaged, bed was damaged.
The hotels location.
The toilet was dirty on my arrival. I then found matted hair on the carpet under the desk. I informed the reception staff during check out. I was told they would let house keeping know. No apology!
close to centre of town
the shower room was in very poor condition with mould growing on the ceiling and around the siliconed area at rhe base
Good friendly staff & a well run Hotel excellent location we would go back & would recommend it for a stay.
Paper thin walls / drunks shouting until after 3am/ staff unable or unwilling to do anything about it /
Helpful, and clean
Wi Fi was useless
Room was very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. No view from window but so what. Room was quiet and you had a good night sleep.
The bar was impersonal, the barman served the dining room next door and getting his attention was sometimes difficult. When got he was quiet efficient.
Room was lovely and spacious particularly bathroom.
Lack of privacy/ blinds on ground floor window facing onto street. Late night revellers struggling with card key to open security lock.did not feel room door fitted well.

Stay at the cottage, you'r like home with a sight on the Ness river
the Jacobite's cruises on the Loch Ness that's a sting
room, sparse facilities, lighting poor, overlooked on all sides, noisy
The food was excellent, the setting was excellent, central location, good base for visiting Loch Ness, Culloden etc etc. Room was big and the stunning bathroom huge and both rooms immaculate. A fan was provided as window didn't open. Nearly all staff very nice and accommodating. We would recommend and return.
Room 601 was on the ground floor of the 'Alexander' and on our final night were woken up at 1.00am by a guest returning and again at 6.00am with guests leaving as the entrance hall echoed and had squeaky floors. needs window blinds and a kettle with a long lead. Window didn't open as painted shut. A couple of staff needed training in customer service
The hotel was warm and welcoming, the food was good and the general appearance of the hotel was very nice.
On arrival when we arrived at our room,we had been travelling for 10 hours,We rang down to reception to request caffeine free tea bags,we were told you didn't have any,so I went out to source some, the next morning on going down to breakfast,my wife said to the waitress you don't have decaf tea do you?the waitress replied that they did!!! it was a little confusing.
Nice friendly staff. Room detached from main hotel.
Other guests noise!
