Situated in central Inverness, Ardross Glencairn is just 5 minutes’ walk from the river and 15 minutes from the bus and rail station.
Score from 1645 reviews Very good
This family-run hotel is 800 metres from Inverness Rail Station and the shops of the city centre. It has free parking, a bar and a restaurant serving modern Scottish cuisine.
Score from 818 reviews Very good
This stylish, 4-star property sits on the banks of the River Ness and is 800 metres from Inverness city centre.
Score from 591 reviews Fabulous
This grand hotel has a great location in the heart of Inverness, yet in a quiet area with splendid views of the River Ness and Inverness Castle.
Score from 715 reviews Good
The room was nice, and the lady at reception was very welcoming.
When me and my partner started getting ready for bed we noticed 2 slugs on the wall. We were on the ground floor and it is an old building so it was understandable that something like that may have happened. The guy who came to collect the slugs however was very nice apologised profusely.
I liked the room was spacious and well laid out, modern and up to date and was warm enough at night the view was very impressive...right on the river stayed in the struan building
The bed was horribly uncomfortable and didn't sleep very well, waking up sore. Room slightly smelled of smoke on entering had to leave Windows open until bed time
Beautiful bathroom; comfy bed
Scrambled egg appeared to be microwaved, rubbery; yuk. Bit too much self service at breakfast; it was busy and felt like being on a conveyor belt, not very relaxing
The situation. It was easy to walk into the town centre from there. The food in Nico's was very good.
I didn't like the notice on the soap that I could take the bottle if I paid. Fortunately I had my own soap and shampoo but wasn't sure if I could use their soap and certainly didn't want to buy a large bottle.
room and staff
The information give on arrival not good
Our Room with a small patio door to car park, excellent breakfast with great service, location to town centre..
Lovely hotel in great location. Staff all polite and very efficient. Worth paying extra for a river view. Food in bistro excellent.
Nothing, all good.
Overall I have stayed here several times and would definitely recommend to anyone., Great rooms, location, breakfast, nothing but good things to say about The Glen Mhor
It was free wifi, free breakfast, amazing friendly smiley staff, the most comfortable bed ive ever slept in and the room was amazing. The location was beautiful and walking distance to everything.
It was all amazing :D
The location was a 5 minute walk into the town centre which suited us. It is in a quiet location along the river side. The room we had was spacious and well designed and the bathroom was lovely. For once a hotel with an excellent shower.
Good value breakfast offering. Well presented room with good riverside location. Good check-out time.
Wasn't a fan of the feather pillows and tap in bathroom was faulty.
£3.95 for a bottle of water.
Panels coming off bathroom door, panel pins sticking out. Basin not draining, toilet & bath no working ventilation.
Front staff, having to pay to park in their carpark......having to pay for wi-fi.
Industrial noise from neighbouring room
My room was great, small but cosy, very clean and comfortable
My colleague's room smelled strongly of smoke and men's deodorant, which never dispersed.
The location was second to known and was within walking distance of the event we were attending.
The stay met our expectations with no issues encountered at all :-)
Location, right on the River Ness. Good breakfast
Paying for wi-fi! We stayed at the Glen Mhor at the start of our Scottish break, and considered staying there for our last night, too. According to previous reviews, the manager said that it is cheaper to book direct with the hotel. However when we looked into this for our last night, and emailed the hotel to check their price, it was cheaper overall to book with booking.com
Everything, comfort, food, staff, location was perfect as we cannot walk a lot and really great to have onsite parking
This is not bad experience but I don't see why you have to pay for wifi ast £2.99 a day if you book through anyone else apart from direct to the hotel. This is bit of a con as they are getting their money anyway. Need to do something about this as it is money for nothing.
Quiet and very comfortable Friendly and helpful staff
The best location in Inverness, was easy to find and view was beautiful at night. Staff and breakfast was ok, room was nicelz furnished.
Shower wasn't functioning properly.
The view of the river from my first floor room was impressive.
I paid £109 for a deluxe double room with River View. Apart from the view, I didn't consider it a deluxe room. You had to pay for the bottle of mineral water. There wasn't a box of tissues, and there was no body lotion in the bathroom. There was only 30 mins free wifi. For a deluxe room, I would have expected these things. In all, the room didn't feel very welcoming.
Stayed six years ago a few changes has happened since then hotel expanded etc some parts need a bit of tlc .Location good within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Our room looked on to the river lovely view.
Room a bit tired looking some lightbulbs need to be replaced which was reported to staff only one was replaced light above mirror in bathroom didn't work. A fee for using the hotel car park never had to do that before. ...
Window blinds let too much light in. No black out.
