Glenalmond Guest House  

Ganska nära London, bara 50 min bort med tåget. Personalen var mycket vänliga och tillmötesgående. Rena handdukar varje dag. Ett riktigt gott kaffe serverades varje varje morgon vid frukosten. Som svensk är ett gott kaffe på morgonen lika med en god start på dagen och Glenalmond lyckades likna det svenska goda kaffet mycket bra.

Convenient location to Gatwick airport. Easy shuttle to and from the airport. Very clean room. Excellent full breakfast. Friendly, knowledgable proprietor.

As a one night stop-over location the room could use an upgrade to TV and channel selection (5 only).

Donal is a first-rate host and he makes everything about the stay at Glenalmond House pleasurable. The pick-up and delivery from Gatwick (a 5 minute drive) is included in the price of the room (no extra charge). Recommendations for dinner were accurate. The Glenalmond House is a wonderful choice for those looking for proximity to Gatwick airport -- and Donal's attention to his guests (and sense of humour) makes this more than just room and board for the night. A definite must the next time we fly through Gatwick.

After a competitor's guest house that we usually use started getting poor reviews, we decide to try another. We chose the Glenalmond for its price, location, and good reviews. We were extremely happy with the switch. Small rooms and typically small bathrooms, but very comfortable, very clean, excellent breakfast, and Donal and his staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. These folks know what they are doing. Not the cheapest, but far from the most expensive in the area (and in line with B&Bs farther away from London). We used the Glenalmond as the staging point for day trips into London and also for the night before our flight out from Gatwick. We have definitely found our new Gatwick b&B.

No complaints at all, at least none that could be remedied. It's on a busy street, but it was plenty quiet for sleeping. Bathrooms are small, but that is typical of older homes retrofitted with en-suite facilities.

We enjoyed our stay at Glenalmond Guest House very much. Our host, Donal, was so friendly and helpful. He picked us up at the train station on the day of our arrival, and also drove us to the airport early on the day of our departure. Our charmingly decorated room was very clean and comfy and provided everything we needed. We had a great night's sleep in the quiet and peaceful surroundings. Glenalmond is also within easy walking distance of the lovely downtown of Horley and several restaurants and pubs. It is a beautiful home in a great location.

Friendly and helpful staff. Courtsey taxi to and from Gatwick airport. Just right for an overnight stop before flying the next day.

Convenient and comfortable for one-night stop over, with free airport pick up and drop off and free Internet. Also, quiet neighbourhood, so could go for walk after sitting on plane.
