Excellent breakfast and friendliness of staff
Very small shower in room 6
very pleasant helpful people. Breakfast very good and room comfortable. Two sitting rooms were well furnished with tea and coffee if wanted. Better than some expensive hotels we have stayed in
No fault of the Glenartney but I found the hill just a wee bit hard going since I have arthritis but so glad we had our break there. It also meant the view from our bedroom was excellent (room 3)
The view from our room, the breakfast gave you everything, staff where lovely there was nothing not to like and if anyone says there was a problem well.......!!! xx
Arran is lovely place to visit and we wish we had booked a longer stay.
everything! we would return.
Pretty much everything. Staff friendly and welcoming. Central location. Breakfast was superb. Angela and Robbie are great hosts, and let's not forget to mention Alfie! :)
We could not fault this hotel in any way. Had a fabulous time.
Lovely setting minutes from the harbour and sea-front looking over to Goat Fell; pleasant comfortable room and guest sitting rooms and bar provide plenty of space in a relaxed environment. Very helpful to have copies of all the restaurant menus available to peruse.
Not the best breakfast I've had on Arran but still very edible. Do say in advance if you want porridge (as instructed on the in-room menus).
Made to feel welcome, very comfortable room with good facilities. Breakfast excellent and really good service. Comfortable lounge and guest bar with good whisky selection
Nothing - seriously.
The comfortable sitting room with fire, where you could enjoy a wee dram from the hotel bar.
The little extra touches that made you feel so welcome
Glenartney was very comfortable and the owners and staff could not have been more helpful. I will definitely go back!
Friendly, well-kept and comfortable accommodation, helpful staff, conveniently placed in walking distance of the port and sea front. Good base for exploring this beautiful little island.
The food, the room, the staff, the art, the bathroom, the location!
That they put a 1 pound charge for the Isle of Arran without asking.
Lovely house filled with charm. Walking distance to town, convenient to bus routes and ferry. Congenial, helpful hosts and staff. Cozy in rain, cheerful and bright in sunshine. Delicious breakfast. Really just about perfect all around. We will go back!
On arrival we were welcomed in a warm and friendly manner. General décor was fresh and airy. Extra blankets in wardrobe. Quiet (the hotel appeared full at breakfast but we heard no one during the evening. Soap/shampoo available in toilet. Nice view.
Would have liked an extra pillow available.
I loved the heater in the ensuite - very cosy on exiting the shower! Superb views over Brodick Bay. I enjoyed looking at all the art work carried out by Angela, who also gave us a very warm welcome. The porridge was historic!
Limited parking in grounds of B&B.
Location, very clean. Excellent breakfast. Very helpful and friendly staff.
The double room we had was too small for a double room. One side of the bed was up against the bedroom wall and there was no ensuite bathroom.
Location - near the harbour in Brodick. Very helpful staff (helped to print some tickets we needed), cozy room although a little small but that wasn't problem. Best breakfast bacon (relatively crispy) during my trip to Scotland. Price/quality is superb (breakfast was included)
Nothing to complain.
Breakfast was wonderful and the our hosts were very helpful. Nice area.
Parking was a bit of a problem, but we had a large car, so it wasn't their fault! And they helped us to fit in!
Warm welcome, delightful accommodation, spotless and very comfortable
We had a room with a great view. A good choice for breakfast helped set you up for the day.
Sitting room and hall were a bit musty smelling. Thought it was a bit overpriced.
Decor, location, views, breakfast (not necessarily in that order!)
Excellent rooms, breakfast, mini bar, hosts, proximity to trails, proximity to ferry, the view. Just awesome!
I honestly can't figure what I didn't like.
Everything from room being ready on our early arrival. All staff very pleasant, lots of local information available. Our room was not ensuite but had private bathroom right next door and we were supplied with robes. Lovely breakfast. would have a longer stay next time.
