Very friendly, helpful with advice on places to eat, flexible re food, very good, generous breakfast.

Kath and Brian were wonderful hosts, very friendly and informative about local attractions. The room was large and comfortable with its own balcony. Breakfast was excellent and it was great having off street parking.

Definitely our hosts, Brian & Kathleen. They offered great suggestions on where to go, what to do and where to eat. This included one of the members of our party not being able to hike due to a bad foot and Brian & Kathleen offered great easy walk suggestions. The breakfasts were out of this world and kept us well fed all the way til afternoon tea time! The rooms were spacious and beds were comfy. What else can I say - definitely a goer!

Brian and Kathleen were excellent hosts, who made us very welcome. Breakfast was 1st class, and thoroughly enjoyed. It was also my mother's birthday, and we couldn't resist purchasing Brian's lovely handmade jewellery!

The location was superb for our requirements and the local facilities were perfectly adequate. Our room was very comfortable. The food was out of this world but rather generous! The proprietors were veryhelpful and "useful" in giving directions to sites.

The location is just ideal and the house itself is appealing. The surrounding countryside is ideal walking territory and Kingussie, Aviemore and other lovely locations are only a short drive away. Our room had a balcony - which would have been brilliant if only it had just been a bit warmer weather during our visit! It was however sunny and our experience over 2 days was very pleasant indeed. Breakfast was superb and the helpfulness of our hosts was first class. Would certainly recommend the ''Silverfjord'' in Kingussie for a meal. The food in the Glen Hotel in Newtonmore was very good also but the restaurant surroundings there was just a little bit dated. There is a tea/coffee room a few miles off the main road (heading north after Kincraig) which is well worth the visit. Head for and through Feshiebridge and you are nearly there. Lovely view out onto a bird feeding area. You can sit at the panoramic window watching the wild birds feed. Very reasonably priced and ever so pleasant !!!!!

Open and friendly hosts. Very responsive and cooperative.

Though cozy, the whole B&B is small and priced the same as the bigger hotel, that also has a swimming pool.

Glenavon House reminded me of an Alpine Chalet and that worried us as there must be few in Scotland. Had we chosen badly.......? Our fears were groundless. This place offers remarkable value. Set back from the road in a "battleaxe block" the bedroom windows and doors were soundproof so we had perfect sleep on a comfy bed. Our room was large and included a balcony stretching the width of the house. The bathroom was large, modern, scrupulously clean, and included a huge skylight, so large I cannot recall us ever having to use a light. Cleaning/tidying was undertaken daily and we could not fault that. Breakfasts were cooked to order with a fine attention to detail. We thoroughly recommend Glenavon House.

Roomy and comfortable accomodation with excellent and friendly hosts and a lovely breakfast.

Very kindly people, at your disposal for everything you need. Good position for many actractives: loch ness, cairngorms, distillery, castels etc. Really good paths.

Fantastic location, lovely owners, very tasty breakfast – overall it was a very enjoyable stay.

Our room was not ready when we arrived, but it was quickly sorted, so it was not an inconvenience.

The couple that run the Glenavon were very friendly and informative about the area,our room had a beautiful balcony where we could sit and relax in the evening sunshine,and the breakfast was excellent one of the best i,ve had in many a hotel over the years.I Would recommend this hotel/B&B to anyone. This was one of the most pleasant stays i've ever had at a b&B.

Glenavon House was ideally situated for our one night stop on our trip around the country. Our hosts were absolutely lovely and so was our room - clean, spacious and very comfortable with everything we needed. We would probbaly have used the balcony if it had been warmer! The pub down the road as a recommendation for dinner was great, and breakfast in the morning was also lovely in the conservatory. Fascinating to learn about Brian's creativity with glass beads - I love my new pendant! :)

One of our best experiences in over 30 nights in uk lodgings. Lovely newer home--gracious hosts-nice Breakfast with fresh fruit. Easy parking. Good food nearby.

Convenient location for touring Speyside. Central village location. Good breakfasts. Informative attentive and helpful hosts. Quiet at night.

Glenavon House is a very congenial place to stay, ideally situated close to the Cairngorms. The hosts are warmly welcoming and attentive to your needs and a great source of information about the area's attractions.
