Glenburn Hotel    

The staff were very friendly and efficient. You never had to wait for anything. Rooms were nice and clean.

The price! Very expensive for a basic (but nice) hotel. No added luxuries i.e pool,sauna.spa which you would generally find in hotels for this price range!

bed wasn't great and our room was quite noisy with creaks from upstairs and out in the hallway. Also tv reception poor

This is a classy little gem. Nice friendly surroundings, run by a wonderful and helpful staff. Don't look any further for dining out, the food here is of the highest standards and just so fresh and tasty. All in all this is a treasure.

The t.v only had channels 1-5 and the reception on the t.v wasnt that good.

The location was spot on for us, owner, staff first class. There is nothing I can say for them to improve just keep doing what you are doing. Parking facilities were first class. We felt very relaxed and welcomed. We had the weather on our side lovely sun shine all the way. I have a thing about towels, the Glenburn's towels were so fresh, white, and plenty of them.The area was smart, and know litter around the area or town. All restaurant's we used and cafe's were good. Yes a very nice stay and an enjoyable weekend in the Lakes.

The food was very good, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel was really nice.

The only problem was the bed it was too small and it needed to be replaced as the springs in the mattress were coming through, We had been moved to a larger room that was comfortable with plenty of room, but we were so tired as we were unable to sleep. We would recommend the hotel to any one apart from this one big problem.

Warm welcome. Clean with a comfy bed. Fantastic hot brrakfast with good tea and coffee. Really enjoyable stay.

The hotel has an ideal location and is just a short walk to both Windermere and Bowness. Also, the local buses to Ambleside and Grasmere stop just across the road during the morning. There is off-road parking - one of the reasons we selected this hotel online as that didn't seem to be the case at many others described for the area. Our room was a good size, it was very comfortable and very well presented. Everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was tasty with lots of variety and of generous proportions, and we also ate here in the evening twice because the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The staff were welcoming and friendly throughout, and they were very helpful when we had a small problem with the bathroom radiator - an immediate and practical solution was offered and the problem was fixed while we were out the next day.

Nothing - this place was spot on and we felt it was a good price for its location, facilities and the popular time of year (Easter holidays).

We booked a superior room but it was an attic room with the smallest bathroom we have ever had.we paid £100 but have stayed at better hotels for £60.we stayed at low bay hotel for the next 2 nights for the same price of £100 per night with spa,pool,outdoor hot-tub restraunts bars log fires,right on the banks of lake windermere,the Glenburn hotel is,in my opinion charging 4 star prices for a two star b&B.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, also the room was very clean and everything was in order. The breakfast was really nice aswell.

When we turned our radiator up to full it was barely warm so the thermostat was set to something of around 14-15 degrees which was a bit cold for our liking.

The hotel and staff were faultless, a friendly welcome was received with plenty of info about the surroundings. The restuarant food was without fault and the home made puddings were great. highly recommended to all.
