Great staff, central location, good car parking, nice breakfast.
friendly staff and a warm welcome. Good clean accommodation with a great location in that Windermere is 5 min walk and Bowness 15 min walk. Enjoyed our stay!
Location Comfortable rooms
Had a small wait at breakfast to be seated as all staff were in the kitchen . Was worth it though great food nice staff.
Great spot for lovely restaurants and pubs . Lovely view from window of church with light in the grounds and the sound of the babbling river.
Could here very loud footsteps from room above which woke us during the night and also very noisy plumbing. Mattress was very uncomfortable so all in all not much sleep.
Superb staff and very good breakfast
Breakfast was amazing staff were lovely had a very good stay
The pillows were too hard
Woman on the desk said that no water facilities available which was the main reason we booked . She said facilities are closed till 01.04.2015 but on the leisure park website it was written till 01.03.15 . Worst was the Halls were very smelly . Felt like you have come to RH or NH. Need to open windows
Rooms clean and comfy
Nothing to dislike!
Very clean hotel, everything worked, wifi good coverage. Good breakfast. Nice friendly feel to the hotel.
Lovely hotel, great food, brilliant staff, convenient location, nicely decorated en-suite rooms.
Shower not good. .stairs access to room a pain
Standard of food
The shower was very poor pressure
Staff were fantastic .
I had to ask for codes for wifi. There was black mold around windows and in bathroom. Only 2 of things when there was 3 in the room. The room was a fire exit so anyone could enter my room. I was a female on my own with 2 children. This made me feel unsafe !
Staff were friendly
Exceptionally poor noise insulation, you could hear everything and end up being woken at 7am on both mornings by the room above and the kitchen staff below
Great decor, nice touches and lovely staff
Me and my girlfriend stayed at the Glenburn hotel over Valentine's weekend, we found the staff incredibly approachable, our room was impeccably clean with attention to detail to cater our needs for the weekend. The food was utterly sublime, we were so impressed with the breakfast we decided to take the gamble of having our valentines night dinner at the hotel, which proved to be an excellent decision. As a young couple who have stayed in a few hotels around the uk and abroad we have sometimes felt because of our age we have been somewhat treated differently to the other guests but I can safely say that staying at this hotel was an absolute pleasure. Thank you to the Glenburn hotel for a most satisfying stay.
Great hotel stayed with my wife an two young children, very clean, pleasant staff, great location, great breakfast, top hotel will defo be staying again
Our stay at the hotel was excellent couldnt fault any thing. Was abit disappointed that they didnt allow dogs but i should i have looked better at this. The breakfast in the morning was beautiful the staff couldnt do anymore. Would definatly recommend this hotel. It is a good distance between both towns.
the horrible smell for decoration
Smokers on doorstep as we arrived.Horrible Musty smell in hallways, family room was tiny with old bunkbed sqeezed in next to a tiny double bed.small shower toilet ensuite for 4 people. Mattresses old with painful springs. worst nights sleep. Techno bar music very loudly playing below our family room.we had to ask staff to turn off at 11pm there were no guests in bar. Rude manager when we complained no discount offered as said it was our fault for booking through Booking.com. we moved to another fantastic guest house which was cheaper too! Had to pay in full. Not happy at all.
halls, doors and restrooms could do with a little bit of renovation and refurbishment the online booking system led to some disarrangement of rooms a small fridge in (at least the deluxe) rooms would be a good addition
very friendly staff perfect location in between Windermere and bowness delicious food and freshly cooked breakfast good wifi connection wonderful self-catered "River Cottage" with modern equipment
just enjoyed my stay every one very friendly would stay again tell friends how good
Good location, nice friendly staff, excellent food!
Nothing to dislike. Poor WIFI connection in our room, however this was not a problem for us.
Nice comfortable four poster bed Tasty breakfast with plenty of choice Able to leave the car in car park after checking out which enabled us to enjoy the stroll into Bowness. Both Windermere and Bowness are a short stroll away
The hotel itself had everything we wanted and needed for a weekend breakaway. Its location proved to be helpful and made life easy. Mornings were welcomed with a filling and satisfying breakfast. Couldn't have asked for more from a last minute booking.
Room was cold
