The owner is honest mam.
liked that the bed was very comfortable and ther was no bad odder smell and it smelt freshh and i enjoyed my stay ill be booking the same room very soon
Good Location and free parking. Room 9 was spacious with its own kitchen and a nice new en-suite bathroom, but could do with a clean and it smelled of cigarettes..
Room 2 is quite small and dated plus the showers upstairs are a bit off putting.
not much sleep as single glazed windows and couldnt get front door open.... plus room wasnt properly cleaned
bathtub is dirty The steps on top of the stairs is very dangerous.
close to city centre
The keys and opening and closing is hard at first
This place was disgusting & filthy no place for children wish I'd read previous reviews before booking
reactivity and kindness of staff
Noises at night.
As a place to sleep and get a shower it was fine, given that we wanted accommodation for ourselves to cover the ironMan UK event in Bolton
The cooker and microwave oven were very dirty. There were no cups nor teaspoons nor plates so we had to buy to be able to eat and make tea and coffee. Bit disappointing .
It felt like we were staying in a smokers flat for the night, strong smell of smoke and various half used shower gel etc in bathroom
Chap was nice. Room was adequate Nice location Fair'ish price Could be a fantastic guest house with the time and effort / money put in to it.
Heating came on for an hour maybe. Very strong damp smell in the bottom en suite room. Place could do with a 60 min Makeover - then would be brilliant. Just needs a little investment putting into it. Didn't realise could have got a continental breakfast down the road for £5 more per room
shared bathroom, no food on offer. failed to give invoice
They've got the basics right. I was in a comfortable, clean room with good internet and it was quite. I had a good night's sleep.
The place needs a bit of a refurbish. One of the mattresses was ready for a change and the decor was clearly quite old. The washing facilities were all clean but the hot water supply was changeable. It was quite difficult to get warm water consistently. It seemed to flick from cold to hot at random. It's a shame because with a couple changes I think it could be a really nice guesthouse.
Location was the only plus side.
We got "upgraded" on arrival to a room which looked like it hadn't been used for a long time. It felt like being in the back of someones house. The place was grubby on the touch and piles of dust under bedside tables. The beds had seen better days 20 years ago never mind now. It felt like we were sleeping on the base as the springs in the mattress were no longer springs. The shared bathroom toilet wouldn't flush right. To be honest I have never wanted to leave a place I have stayed before as fast in my life. Up to now using booking.com I have always been happy to revisit anywhere I have stayed, But not here.
It was close to a place I wanted to go. Relatively cost effective i.e. if I paid less the services were also not so great. Value for money FAIR
Terrible smell, dirty and uncomfortable beds. Bathroom really dirty and away from the room.
On arrival, it seemed like they did not know I had already booked. Stayed in much cleaner for much less.
Dirty, Grotty, Grimy, Dump!! Could not believe how antiquated the place looked - TV had a colour fault, batteries in the remote didn't work, décor was circa 1975? Kettle wouldn't switch off! General feel of the place was just a run down dump - Bathroom was filthy - really disappointed as I always like to give people the benefit of the doubt but this was just awful
Loved the position as was very close by to where we needed to go :) bed was very comfortable and staff were very friendly was great value for money for our weekend stay :)
didnt have an en suite but we didnt mind as toilet/showering facillites was only a few steps away from us
Im sorry to say .............nothing , except good wifi
Staff attitude , they turn on the heat when they like , not when asked by customers....there is no communal kitchen , the bedroom doors could be pushed open with a little force , the car park is occupied by the familys cars , very little space for guests , the communal bathrooms are filthy , the toilet seats should have been replaced in 1950 , bolton has very few hotels and I guess this is how they get away with it..and its a shame.....the furniture in my bedroom was , it seemed , from the local junk shop , not too bad if it hadnt been falling apart , I would recommend that you dont go here.....IF You are a solo female do not go you will not feel SAFE.....im sad to write this as bolton is my hometown....and im surprised that booking.co continues to help this place exist
Nothing. It was a down & out salvation army type establishment
Other guests arguing in the corridors, coming to our door drunk, causing a nuisance. The hotel owner took all our personal property out of our room as we were 5 whole minutes late in getting back to check out. They had been through my belongings including my laptop which is totally unacceptable.
close to the city
the dirty bathroom, pokey bedroom, noise in the hotel till 230am......???the smell of the hotel on entering....
the comfy room
