Was a little hesitant about booking here after reading the reviews, but enjoyed my stay here. Very helpful staff and so friendly. Excellent value for money. Was close to rail/bus station and town centre. Free internet in room and in room tea and coffee. Would stay here again when in Manchester or Bolton. Clean, warm and comfortable.

No towels. Bathroom located on next floor a long way from room. Very noisy. Had to leave a £10 deposit for keys and since nobody answered my call nearly had to forfeit this. Got locked in my room - it took 20 minutes on one occasion trying to get out and 5 mins on another occasion. Since the bathroom is located well away from the room this could have been difficult as well as a fire hazard. Does nobody regulate such premises - thank goodness I saw a Travelodge being built nearby.

I would not stay at this Guesthouse again we had booked their self contained unit which turned out to be a dirty, ill equiped flat up narrow stairs in a smelly house. The owner had a property over the road that had rooms with a shared kitchen and bathroom. This kitchen was also ill equiped. Doors to outside area were locked and unable to open which made the place very airless and smelly. We were still charged the full amount of the self contained unit.

leaving the next morning The hotel is run down, smells of smoke and old food and is generally in a poor state. The rooms are basic , but apart from the smell ok i guess. However the bedding was dirty and even for 25 quid a night I would rate this as poor. dont go here for a holiday and dont go here unless you cant afford anywhere else
