Unfortunately I missed the wonderful breakfast due to self inflicted illness of the hungover variety...woops. My boyfriend had specially bought in veggie treats :)
The owner is a very interesting, friendly and accommodating person. Would definitely return with the intention of spending a little more time in and around the house and gardens.
Beautiful location. Friendly host. Immaculately clean accommodation. Very comfortable and close to the city centre.
Lovely friendly place. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast excellent.
We were welcomed as never before, Michael, owner help us to plan our turistic visit and made us all fell so at home. Food was fresh and well prepared, will come back without doubt.
Made to feel at home from arrival to departure, free car parking in the grounds, clean and comfortable accommodation and good dinner and breakfast
If you are looking for peaceful quite break this hotel is ideal
There was nothing we didn't like.
That the owners maintained the integrity of the building. Felt like we were guests of the family rather than guests.
That we only had two nights to stay before flying home.
Very elegantly maintained old storybook house in traditional style with rooms feeling the way you'd have planned it yourself -- bedroom, breakfast room, living room and library/bar. Michael is a brilliant and witty conversationalist and his wife a good cook. It's on 3 acres of land with a heavily wooded gully and stream, sweeping lawn with naturally landscaped flowers. Perfect place to plan a long stay from which you strike out for long day outings. Top marks!
Having to leave to catch our plane home!
Clean, v homely & well appointed bedrooms and most comfortable bed & bedding. Excellent and practical food. Beautiful grounds. Impeccable friendly service by Proprietor & his wife. Excellent now as when we first stayed 11 years ago.
Very comfortable and friendly B&B. Located so close to so many attractions.
We were attracted by the promise of seeing badgers and roe deer but saw none! Too many photographs so became cluttered!
Michael - the host , bar man, supper server , and dispenser of info and wisdom! The food served in the Gallery Bar . The breakfast and the breakfast room . The separate large residents lounge. Suite at rear was so quiet . No internal or external noise penetrated!
Towels were ample but not luxurious. They were replaced each day.
The house and gardens are really lovely. The house is beautifully furnished and the decor is quite lovely and grand. Our room was comfortable and clean with all we needed and decorated to a high end finish. Michael, our host, was very helpful and happy to provide any information we asked of him. Breakfast was delicious with a good choice for cooked or continental. We stayed for 2 nights and would happily return!
Could use a new mattress, not that it was bad. I just like really firm. The cats should be friendlier (they completely ignored me)
Lovely B&B. Wonderful hidden bar. Great owners. Very comfortable rooms. Perfect for a few day stay.
Having to leave after only one night as we needed to move on sadly.
The location was good being close to good road system but no noise at all. Cleanliness and obvious care and attention to everything was apparent. Welcoming and warm reception on arrival and we had the feeling that anything we needed would be done without question. A very enjoyable stay.
warm welcome, extremely helpful, lovely food, charming accomodation, lovely surrounding, nicely restored old building, lovely garden, would definitely come again, would definitely recommend glendruidh house to friends, family and business travellers
Badgers have appalling table manners! Lol
Michael the owner was attentive and full of interesting facts about the area! Our room was so comfortable, great night's sleep and luxurious. The food was lovely. We had badgers being fed below our window, an unexpected added bonus!
Quite a way to go to town for dinner. Not a problem for me, because I had wheels. Great place if you have transportation.
The host is a wealth of information. He is very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and it's history. Bed was perfect, and breakfast was great. What more could you ask?
The whole atmosphere of the place
