“ This house is set back from Inverness in a tranquil setting. The owner made me most welcome and my room was an excellent size. Wifi mainly downstairs was very good. It has a large sitting room which allows guests to meet and chat. Breakfast was perfect. ”

Good breakfast. Ample parking. Convenient evening snack menu. Comfortable lounge. Nice looking country house. The en-suite was wrongly called a bathroom but only had a shower. It was extremely small. Although the owner was very helpful he was also too attentive at times

For our visit we needed a hotel close to Raigmore Hospital and this was an ideal location. The owner, Michael was very knowledgable with where to eat out when asked and also about what to go and see in our spare time. I wouldn't say I didn't like but I would suggest that whilst Michael supplied names & phone numbers of restaurants in town sample menus would be handy to show the type of food being served and the prices as people may have budgets that they have to adhere to.

Has all the advantages of being in the country but only 2 miles from center of Inverness The owner was very accommodating and offered us an breakfast earlier than his normal times when we said we need to leave early in the morning. We will be back when we have more time to enjoy the hotel in a more leisurely manner.

Michael is an excellent host. If you want information his knowledge of the area and recommendations where spot on. Very nice breakfasts with excellent haggis and blackpuddings for those who like them. We also liked the out of town quiet location yet a short drive into town. We saw deer, pheasants and a badger just yards from the hotel.

Room size was fab, being able to have a wee drink in the cosy bar before heading into town was lovely and the haggis and black pudding at breakfast were so good we went to the butcher to get some to bring home! Nothing worth mentioning as a dislike but if I had to get picky, having a larger shower enclosure would have been ideal.

Clean, comfortable, friendly, convenient, availability of on-site parking and free at that; dinner available on site in a pleasant, small bar. Dinner menu limited, and dining time frame narrowly restricted, particularly when not located walking distance from alternative dining venues. However, we should not reasonably expect more from such a small establishment. The master was ever present and good to talk to, but perhaps his ever-presence a little over-powering, especially as the mistress, supposedly slaving in the kitchen, was never to be seen - all just a little bit mysterious. However, this did not in any way adversely impinge upon or affect the enjoyment of our stay.

Glendruidh House was a well-appointed guest house on the outskirts on Inverness set in beautifully maintained grounds. The host, Michael, was a person who took his role of providing hospitality very seriously (without being a serious person). The suite that we had was spacious beyond what one would normally expect from a guest house. The room rate was higher than the average that we paid for on our trip; however, you got what you paid for. This accommodation would only be suitable if you had your own car as it is a fairly long way from any facilities (eg shops and restaurants).

We loved the character and ambience of Glendruidh House. It sits in within lovely grounds and although near the town of Inverness, feels many miles away. So the best of all worlds. Our suite was delightful and a haven after long days exploring the spectacular countryside. Michael, the owner has a wealth of knowledge about the area and his interest in the rich natural environment and history of the Highlands is evident both in conversation and in a range of beautiful photographs which adorn the walls of the house. Guests are made to feel welcome and at home. There is a cosy bar and an elegant sitting room which provide opportunities to relax and chat in the evenings. Altogether a memorable stay.
