Large room, very comfy bed, wet-room style shower. Cosy bar with good ales available. Nice lounge with warm fire burning to relax next to in the evening. Great food cooked and served by the team for both dinner and breakfast. Last, but by no means least, we were made so welcome - thank you so much! We felt so looked after, and at home for the evening. A true example of what hospitality is about.
We've tried, but cannot think of anything we did not like!
Staff and food.
Comfortable and cosy. Ailsa makes you very welcome.
Great staff, great room and awesome food. Highly recommended and convenient (about 45mins) to Inverness airport following arrival on a late afternoon flight.
STAFF WERE VERY HELPFUL AND FREINDLY. THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT. WE WOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM RECOMMENDING THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE.
Would recommend the steak.
Bathrooms have been modernised to a good standard
The beds were very uncomfortable . these need to be changed as soon as possible.
Very friendly staff and a bar with local people that you could have a conversation with.Very good location for Loch Ness and the Isle of Skye.
Nothing to dislike.
Breakfasts and evening meals were excellant .....every one was very friendly and helpful at the hotel .....cant thank them enough....would recommend the hotel to family and friends.
A hotel located in an area to see lots of Scotland and day trips to Isle of Skye. Walls of hotel date to 1500s interior updated to reasonable modern standards. Restaurant is very good.
Beds were hard.
Fantastic hotel only wish I had more time to spend there and explore the area, unfortunately work didn't allow that. Very warm welcome at reception from the owner and my room had a wonderful frontal view. Food was excellent and there was a great selection of beers, wines and spirits on hand to satisfy all tastes. I would certainly return.
comfy cosy lounge and delicious foods
The friendliness of the staff.
The room was quite large with a remodeled bath. Dinner at the hotel was a real treat. A bit out of the way but a lovely place to stay.
Why can't hotel staff get black mold cleaned from the showers? Every hotel seems to have the same problem, but maybe just the damp Scottish weather.
Friendly Highland welcome. An excellent place to stay.
Nothing not to like
The warm welcome the bedroom and food and location

Everything Food atmosphere, staff all little extras

Location, staff and food.
Room,restaurant food,the welcome, area.
As we were competing in the Scotland Coast to Coast race we booked an early breakfast for the morning of our departure. Despite discussing and then agreeing this with the receptionist at the time of checking in, NO staff showed up in the morning and we had to depart without breakfast. We are aware that there were at least 4 other individuals in the same boat. Very disappointing, not a way to run a business!
The food was amazing and a very friendly and polite place
Room was a little dated..
Dinner was excellent
The landscape. The breakfast
The price/quality rate, it's expensive.
