The fantastic friendly welcome was just excellent. Carol, the host and owner, was a gem. Friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Would thoroughly recommend to all friends and family.

We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel to others, the staff werre very friendly and helpful. Our room was large and had good facilities. The breakfast and evening meal were both very nice and the homemade bread was amazing.

The only thing I would point out was there was quite a steep flight of stairs up to the room.

The view from the room of Loch Meiklie was a delightful surprise. the bedroom was very clean, modern and the bed was very comfortable!! a great wee extra was the Jacuzzi bath- an amazing way to relax at night after a good days walk or travel. the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was also amazing. We eat breakfast every morning and there was a good range to choose from. Dinner was lovely- I recommend the tomato and red pepper soup. Oh and the home made bread you get every morning and with dinner is awesome!!! would highly recommend a visit.

There was one set evening meal, nothing else and no-where else to eat when we arrived at 6pm

Meals very good, rooms 3 & 4 had great views looking over the loch. Jet bath took ages to fill. Comfortable sitting room Bedrooms on the small side with no were to put suitcases.

There was a wonderful atmospherea and the view on the lake is very suggestive. Good restaurant, high quality and not expensive.

This is a charming small hotel in a beautiful, quiet setting. The owners and the staff couldn't have been nicer. The hotel has two location benefits: On the one hand, it's a couple of miles west of Loch Ness so it doesn't feel part of the crowds and the tourist scene. On the other hand, it is much closer to the main tourist activities (Urquhart Castle, the Loch Ness center, the boat cruise lines) than any of the hotels in Inverness. I would definitely stay here again if I make a return visit to the area.

Het hotel bevindt zich in een voormalig buienverblijf uit de jaren dertig. De kamers en het hotel zijn correct en comfortabel, maar ietwat ouderwets. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel, verzorgd onbijt, schitterend gelegen in een groen bos met zicht op een lokaal loch op amper 10 minuten rijden van Loch Ness. Veel rustiger dan logies vlakbij Loch Ness. Uitstekende prijs/kwaliteitsverhouding.

Het avondeten in het restaurant is van matige kwaliteit.

Sehr großes Zimmer mit elekrischem Kamin, Hotel in traumhafter Lage und nette Mitarbeiter. Tolles Mobiliar in den Aufenthaltsräumen mit offenem Kamin. Wirklich super!!

Unter Sauberkeit im Bad kann man etwas anderes verstehen (nur am ersten Tag, danach sauber). Im Zimmer stand ein Spiegeltisch, der von Schlieren überzogen war sehr eingeschränkte Auswahl am Frühstücksbuffet (für kontinentales Frühstück) auch hier lies die Sauberkeit ein wenig zu wünschen übrig, Die Frühstücksunterlagen waren hier auch mit diesen Schlieren überzogen. Die Marmeladengläser standen so wie es aussah schon einige Zeit, da alles komplett verklebt war. Das Obst (Kiwi, Melone, Erdbeeren) das in Schüsseln angerichtet war war komplett vertrocknet und wurde erst ersetzt, als ein größere Reisegruppe zu Besuch war. Alles in allem schon ein tolles Hotel, was aber preislich nicht im Verhältnis zur Leistung steht....

Un endroit honnête, sans plus. Les chambres sont propres, mais il ne faut surtout pas bouger dans le lit en fer forgé au risque de provoquer des grincements assourdissants. Le personnel est poli, mais les écossais nous ont habitué à plus de chaleur. La maison est au bord d'un joli lac, mais entourée d'une demi douzaine de mobile-homes.

Las habitación en la que estuve era preciosa, con vistas al lago. El salón y el comedor también tienen unas vistas preciosas. El trato y la comida son muy buenos. Está rodeado de naturaleza pero no lejos de Inverness.

Bon accueil, personnel très agréable.

Rien à voir avec les photos, situé au milieu d'un terrain avec locations de mobile homes, sucre et farine à vendre à l'accueil ! ! ! Cuisinier en survêtement et casquette le reste des cheveux coiffé en pétard. Maison bourgeoise qui a mal vieilli. Douche "électronique" impossible à démarrer. On ne doit pas être allé dans le même établissement que les clients qui l'ont trouvé: "fantastic" Très cher en comparaison des autres hotels ou B&B visités lors de ce voyage. Jamais plus................

Petit hôtel très au calme. Bien situé entre le Loch Ness et le Glen Affric. Grande chambre agréable, joliment meublée.

Pas de wifi.

Everyone was friendly and very accommodating. The food was great. The chef was very allergy friendly with the meals. Very lovely and quiet space. Would definitely go back!!

The staff that received us was happy to find us another place to stay, since our booking at their hotel had not come through.

No wifi facilities.

Nice staff. Food in restaurant is delicious.

It's a bit like staying in a cabin on a camping site. It's a house, but some of the furniture lets you think, that it is a camping site. It's located a bit offsite. So restaurant might be open only if you decide in the morning.

Location

Early time for last orders for dinner at 8pm . Late start for breakfast at 8.30am.
