Margaret was lovely, friendly and funny! Very homely B and B, good value for money. They went to a lot of effort to make a vegetarian breakfast. Very cosy and excellent wifi.
Location .. hard to find. But to future guests, it's beside the train station in Burry Port!
The friendly hosts Size of en suite Size of room
Very quiet town, but that was probably the time of year
lovely service friendly great breakfast
Very welcoming and friendly host from the start. Good location, good night's sleep and woke up to a very good breakfast.
The hosts were wonderful and breakfasts were perfectly prepared. It felt like home the minute I walked in. The small town atmosphere was very relaxing and location was convenient to major roads and rail.
Full Welsh breakfast Congenial hosts Lots of room for the price Comfortable beds and bedding Preservation of historic inn
wifi could need an upgrade
Friendly. It was nice to sit outside in the terrace.
No wardrobe in the room. The pub next door was noisy. There was two of us but only one shabby looking seat in the room. The kettle wouldn't fit under the tap.
Excellent handy spot for exploring and helpful staff.
Warm and friendly, the owners could not have been nicer or more supportive.
Shared a bathroom, but as I only stayed overnight it wasnt an issue.
My daughter had to stay on her own the hosts went out of their way to look after her and were so kind.
Warm and friendly hosts. Well cooked breakfast. Clean and comfortable room and bathroom.
Noisy on the Saturday night as local pub clientele were enjoying theirselves beneath our window! Would have been good to have real coffee at breakfast instead of Nescafe but the tea was fine.
Basic but comfortable room Nice Shower Good Breakfast Free Wi-Fi
Parking only on fairly crowded street Location quite busy, near to two pubs
The young man at reception who was cheerful&polite. The cleaning lady who was the only person to ask us about out days. The view from our room.no
No disabled facility no lift unsafe stairs.shower cubicle in room very cramped and grubby. No-one greeted us at breakfast to explain routine, very unprofessional service. Breakfast cold,& served with no cover to keep warm. No indication as to which door was reception. Only 1 plastic coathanger. Decor & artworks throughout awful.
only stayed 1 night , but pleased with a comfortable bed, and nice big breakfast
Guest house easy to find, literally a minute from the train station, well presented and homely. Beds were extremely comfortable, owners could not have been more attentive, even came back from their own trip early to check us in due to misunderstanding of times. Also flexible with breakfast time which was great as we aren't the best at getting up early!! Fantastic local knowledge, extremely helpful, can't fault the owners at all.
The only issue we had was the wifi - the signs on the back of the door give details for it but it didn't come up on either phone or laptop when we searched for it. Didn't enquire as we were out most of the day anyway so not a problem
Excellent place to stay Flexible breakfast time Welcoming place to stay
Lack of car parking
The hosts, the location, the value, clean and comfortable
Great location for train connections to Swansea and Tenby day trips. Owners were wonderful host. Good "salt of the earth" folks. Breakfast great. Met some great people during our stay.
Weather was hot and many people were at the bar next door escaping the weather. Noisy until about 11. (Beginning of summer holiday. Think our timing was an exception.
The guest house had a lovely display of colourful flowers at the front, which is very welcoming. The owners were really nice They serve a nice breakfast The room was clean and comfortable
Nothing really. Perhaps it could be a little cheaper
Nice bathroom, clean bedroom and bathroom.
Considering the cost being on a par to hotel accommodation: - there was no complimentary shower gel/ shampoo, no face towel. The breakfast was dreadful; everything came out of a tin: - tomatoes, mushrooms, beans. I expect better during the high season for fresh vegetables and fruit. There was no fresh fruit. The host also felt it necessary to interrupt our conversations during breakfast. It is a mystery to me how they achieved such a high rating.
friendly reception and convenient stopover on our visit to Wales. good meal at Cornish Arms.
Margaret and Mike make visiting their home fun and welcoming. Margaret even made a pot of tea when my cousin visited, and they let us use the breakfast room for takeout dinner. Mike was a hoot as were his fishermen friends. The room was lovely and airy. Location is near the port and the long walk along the Wales coastline.
Pub next door noisy until 11 p.m., but really it didn't bother us too much.
Very friendly and helpful owners . Excellent cooked breakfast.
Warm friendly, clean and good facilities with a great breakfast
Could be noisy on a weekend, and parking for motorcycles not really secure
Friendly, Clean, comfortable, breakfast, value for money.
Some street noise in front bedroom but not excessively late.
