The Globe HotelHigh St, NN7 4QD Weedon Bec (Show map) Pleasant, Score from 36 reviews“The friendliness of the staff and the food. The accomodation is always very acceptable.”
Tom,
Blundeston
The Globe Hotel is a 19th century coaching inn with 18 bedrooms with private bathrooms, a public bar and a restaurant. The hotel is privately owned and operated and its location and informality are two excellent reasons to choose us. The Globe Hotel is set in the heart of the Shires, 8 miles from the center of Northampton and 3 miles from the center of Daventry. The central, easy-to-find location at highway A45-A5 junction is a distinct advantage to both tourists and business people alike. The hotel is independently owned and operated in a personal family manner. This coupled with the modest charges and extremely friendly service make the Globe Hotel an absolute must when staying in the Northampton area. Please be aware that the hotel has no elevator. The Rain did not come in The place is falling to bits, dirt and debris everywhere! I was told where to go, not shown, No kindness, one asian gent only, The room / bathroom was clean, but badly maintained the bed hard the television had no control (remote) and no picture to speak of. Hall/stair carpet bloodstained and dirty. I was, on Christmas night, put in as they called it, the Coach house. Room 19 .... awful.

It was very basic and clean. The man on the reception, who was also in the bar and served my evening meal as well as breakfast was extremely nice and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel had seen better times and was very 'tired', but for £40.00 Bed & Breakfast what can you expect. I would not mind staying there again for just a cheap 'stay over'. It badly needs a 'make over' and upgrading.

The breakfast was nice and the service of it was quick. The room is in terrible condition, cracks in the walls, room door only shut when slammed, 2 twin beds badly pushed together as a double, we didn't chance using the shower as it had a note on it that said the people below us would get wet if not shut correclty and there was only 1 floor towel, 1 hand towel & 1 bath towel. The appearance of the hotel was run down and dirty. The images online didn't portray the hotel, they must be very old. Although the staff were helpful they weren't exactly friendly.

We were made to feel very welcome on arrival. Coffee and tea making facilities were very good and the English Breakfast was excellent. The hotel is obviously quite old and could do with some upgrading in relation to carpeting and decorating.

It was on route to a golf weekend break, we used it to rest between a 2hr journey after work and a 3 day golf break. The 2 staff we met were friendly. The furnishing in the room were very tired. The room was very in need of redecorating. The carpet was not clean enough to put a freshly showered foot on.

Staff were polite, breakfast was good, large carpark. It is not inviting from the outside, with a careworn look and paint pealing off woodwork and walls. First impressions last, and the first impression here was not promising.

The friendlyness of the staff was fantastic and nothing was too much hassle including coming and letting us back in our room when our daughter managed to lock us out. Also the food was fantastic. Local ingredients, fresh and cooked well. We used this hotel as we were attending an event at silverstone. The rooms and some of the building needs updating. It looks shabby from the outside but after talking to the owner plans have been put in place to do this work.

Excellent breakfast. The hotel is in need of a re-paint on the outside however, the interior is a lot better and whilst it cannot be described as modern the rooms are clean and the bed linen is fresh.

The friendly and helpful staff and the price. The food was good quality well cooked and very tasty. The hotel was warm and very comfortable. The only small problem was the lack of a lift but as there was only one flight if stairs I did manage.

The breakfast Although the rooms were adequate, there was a damp smell and on one of our rooms on arrival, we had to take a dirty towel back to reception and ask for a new one.

The hotel staff are very friendly. There was entertainment on in the evening. Prices in the bar were fair. Breakfast was nice and plenty. The rooms were not worth the money we paid per night (£90). They need decorating and sprucing up. The rooms were very basic.

The breakfast was good. The owner and staff were helpful. The bathroom was clean The hotel is just about to close to undergo a complete refit, whic it needs, saying this when it reopens I would like to return to see what sort of job they make of it, As I said before the hotle staff were very helpful and I am sure will make the globe a good place to stay.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was enormous. The breakfast was freshly cooked and lovely. They accept dogs. The hotel looks a little rundown and could do with a bit of a revamp but it's all cosmetic and is a great place to stay.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Good personal attention received. I booked this hotel room to attend a party at the modern chain hotel opposite, which was full due to a block reservation. I feel I got the better package at the Globe. A little run-down and in need of exterior redecoration.
