There was nothing to dislike but the staff were very helpful and friendly.
I had to go to the car park at about 9.30pm to collect the cuddly toy our grandson cannot sleep without. It was a very dark and isolated place and I was pleased to get back into our room again.
location, price, on site car park, breakfast included, nice powerful shower, helpful staff when checking in.
Basic room which needed redecoration, breakfast was cold and basic and we arrived for the start. TV remote didn't work and TV was all cracked round the edges. The rooms need a complete redecoration and modernisation and then this would be a great place to stay.
We liked the pub also we had a meal, the black rock that was excellent. The room was ok just that it was very noisy in the morning with traffic and lorries unload the new stock.
The breakfast needs to be improved, with better toasters and individual butter, jams and mamalades as the dish of butter that everyone had been digging about in was very off putting. The house keeping could be improved with clean cups every day or the tea and coffee and making off the beds
The bar staff were friendly although very thin on the ground.
The room was so outdated. TV did not work properly. Window broken and would not shut properly. Noise from the pub below into the early hours of the morning.
The room was very well furnished apart from having chairs to sit upon.
The overpowering disinfectant smell from the en-suite. The person above who walked with hob nail boots on between 3a.m. and 4a.m. each night.
customer service food was great breakfast was super
car parking can be a be awkward
Good value for money
Some of the party had a disturbed nights sleep due to other unruly guests.
Car parking, Breakfast, location. Helpful staff
Bed matress uncomfortable. Hole in the Bathroom door Creaking flooboards, pleased were on the top floor
Friendly staff, easy check in and nice breakfast.
The staff were excellent very friendly and helpful . Evening meal was of a good standard
The rooms are a bit basic and the breakfast was not very good especially the sausages which where of a cheap and low meat content variety
Breakfast was excellent. A Wide choice of food to suit everyone. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Wi-Fi was sporadic.
Good central location
Noisy as put beside kitchens, could have done with a good redecoration as very tired and shabby looking.
Very noisy on the front of the hotel. As it was stuffy we had to open the window
Cheap and centrally located. Worth the money as not expensive. Nice bar.
Self service buffet breakfast, but then you have your hot food dished up for you. Bar stops serving food at 9pm.
staff was helpfull
room over looked a main road, very noisy at night,
The bar was very friendly
There was no remote control for the TV. where the bed was close to the bathroom you could smell the toilet every time you turned over, the cold tap made a terrible noise when turned on, we also got locked in the room as the lock on the door was broken we did inform the member of staff and he did seem to be aware of it and informed us if we could not get out to ring him as he had a master key! (room 3)
Location Hot water in the bathroom Room was clean
Building insecure Mother trapped in her room due to a faulty lock Noise from other guests Noise from the street Old and old-fashioned, tired decor and furnishings Poor attitude and service from most staff Mediocre breakfast with no fresh tea or coffee Lack of parking - despite advertised as available
Location and parking Price
Breakfast was a bit spread about and had to walk around several times to find everything required for the full English. Never did fid the teaspoons. The dirty towels on the stairwell and the smell of disinfectant. The shelf at the back of the toilet was rotten and the paint missing. Creaking floorboards, all night and slamming doors.
Location Cheap Room size okay Young man was pleasant and pleasure for both bar and cooking
Not enough parking spaces Carpet was disgusting and stunk Breakfast was great if the young man was cooking as he cooked fresh as he went. If the ladies cooked then they let it sit in fat and cooked enough for all morning disgusting. Dining room dirty and floor not cleaned for the 2 days we was there as breakfast still on floor from day before. Bathroom had mould but was okay for price. Just needs a good clean and new carpets . Some of ladies were just lazy and did not even day good morning..
Nice room quite big everything you could want & very good value.
Shower wasn't very warm
As usual, we received a friendly welcome. The hotel is brilliantly situated near the centre of Yeovil, so the shopping centre is just a few paces away. There's a great bar here, which is usually pretty lively, but has never affected the peace and quiet of our room. Having recently paid over £175 for a shabby and depressing Pimlico, London hotel room, the amazingly low rates at the Globe are incredible value for money.
It was ok, the bed was confortable.
Breakfast was not good. Dont have option of harm milk or a simple capuccino.
Black Rock steak lovely
Apple pie nearly still frozen in centre, custard piping hot, waited a long time for this after ordering, the pie was obviously still in the freezer when I ordered. Breakfast was only lukewarm, it was not enjoyed.
The Black Rock Menu in the restaurant was amazing, If you havent done so already is a real must.
Shouting and screaming outside bedroom window
