Good value for money
Some of the party had a disturbed nights sleep due to other unruly guests.
Car parking, Breakfast, location. Helpful staff
Bed matress uncomfortable. Hole in the Bathroom door Creaking flooboards, pleased were on the top floor
Friendly staff, easy check in and nice breakfast.
The staff were excellent very friendly and helpful . Evening meal was of a good standard
The rooms are a bit basic and the breakfast was not very good especially the sausages which where of a cheap and low meat content variety
Breakfast was excellent. A Wide choice of food to suit everyone. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Wi-Fi was sporadic.
Good central location
Noisy as put beside kitchens, could have done with a good redecoration as very tired and shabby looking.
Very noisy on the front of the hotel. As it was stuffy we had to open the window
Cheap and centrally located. Worth the money as not expensive. Nice bar.
Self service buffet breakfast, but then you have your hot food dished up for you. Bar stops serving food at 9pm.
staff was helpfull
room over looked a main road, very noisy at night,
The bar was very friendly
There was no remote control for the TV. where the bed was close to the bathroom you could smell the toilet every time you turned over, the cold tap made a terrible noise when turned on, we also got locked in the room as the lock on the door was broken we did inform the member of staff and he did seem to be aware of it and informed us if we could not get out to ring him as he had a master key! (room 3)
Nice room quite big everything you could want & very good value.
Shower wasn't very warm
As usual, we received a friendly welcome. The hotel is brilliantly situated near the centre of Yeovil, so the shopping centre is just a few paces away. There's a great bar here, which is usually pretty lively, but has never affected the peace and quiet of our room. Having recently paid over £175 for a shabby and depressing Pimlico, London hotel room, the amazingly low rates at the Globe are incredible value for money.
It was ok, the bed was confortable.
Breakfast was not good. Dont have option of harm milk or a simple capuccino.
Black Rock steak lovely
Apple pie nearly still frozen in centre, custard piping hot, waited a long time for this after ordering, the pie was obviously still in the freezer when I ordered. Breakfast was only lukewarm, it was not enjoyed.
The Black Rock Menu in the restaurant was amazing, If you havent done so already is a real must.
Shouting and screaming outside bedroom window
Carpark is ridiculous to find. No lift. Room smelled fousty. Breakfast was a joke. No jam, run out of beans. Two cereals to choose from. No sugar for cereal. Crumpets dry. Person walked straight into room because door doesn't automatically lock you have to lock it yourself from the inside. Doors banging constantly. Hairdryer kept cutting off after a few seconds. There was also a hair behind the bathroom tap which wasn't ours.
Price and convenient location
staff very frendly and great food and a nice clean room
there was no stand in shower as i am disabled and can not get in a bath i found it very hard .if i was on my own i would not be able to have a shower
Resturant and breakfast
Window was very hard to open
loved the staff and hotel, friendly helpful and good value
breakfast good. Bathroom clean
Were not shown to rooms and spent 10 minutes trying to find where to go with another guest who was also lost. Bedroom and hall carpet and drinking glass dirty and bedroom (fabric) chair filthy. Poor selection for evening meal-they had run out of lots of things, the awning smelt musty and mouldy and the tables outside were dirty with overflowing ash trays and broken chairs. Got very little sleep due to constant banging of doors, guests and staff arguing. Never completed a review before but I have to warn people off as it was the worse place we have ever stayed in.
Price and location
lovely staff, friendly and helpful, relaxed atmosphere
bed too hard (personal choice) so can't blame hotel. The lino in bathroom was missing where they had replaced the sink, grouting was mouldy and the curtain rail was broken but a repair with 'no nails' or something like it was used but did not work - £100 would sort that room out and it would be a small price to pay for a fairly good location
Having to wait till 2pm to check in ,then to find our room had not been cleaned . And having to wait another 20 mins ,Also we woken up by other guests & staff at 3 am ,as well as the curtain pole coming down in the middle of the night as it was broken . Shower in room leaked from joint . Room 4 hot & lots of noise from inside & outside
