Free parking , and spitting distance to the town centre . Very quiet too. Very friendly helpful staff.
Rooms a bit dated and in need of a spruce up however everything was lovelly and warm and clean and room made up nicely each day .
Food not being served on the night I was staying.
No WiFi; TV won't switch on; bed, very uncomfortable.
Central position , friendly staff
Great location, staff very helpful. Nice breakfast.
Facilities are run down but clean and useable.
Good pub went to chinese take away near by it was great .
Small room not very warm .
Location right in the middle of town, staff friendly, room clean with on-suite with a full size bath! All in all the best value in Yeovil, and I've stayed in most over the last couple of months.
Wi-Fi could be better, poor in room, but works well in bar area.
Hotel room Tea and coffee
Cold breakfast, dirty tables Parking awkward
Excellent service, very friendly staff, very obliging. Very comfortable bed, clean room. Ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was very good. fair size as well, Choice for breakfast of cereals or cooked food, eggs, sausages, bacon, beans, etc We enjoyed our stay, will return.
My grandson and i really enjoyed the breakfast, the staff and our room. this was our first stay and we did really enjoy.
There was nothing that we didnt like.the only problem, was that my daughter rang the hotel to see if we had booked in and asked the staff member who answered to pass message on to ring home, and we did not get the message, and she was a bit worried about her son and myself.
Helpful friendly staff Comfortable bed Good selection of food for breakfast, an additional request on the breakfast food choice was made and the chef happily obliged.
Bathroom cold tap made a awful noise when used. Bath and shower area had black mildew on the tiles which was rather off putting. The rooms look tired and could do with a revamp particularly the ensuite bathroom.
Manager was very helpful
Bathroom was tiny and really needs updating. This is not an hotel it should be advertised as an hostel.
This the first hotel in my life I had poor breakfast, kept in kitchen not allowing customers to serve themselves. Staff was also rude, I will never, ever go back again to hat hotel.
The public bar was good plenty of seats that is the only good thing I could say about it.
we took our 15 year grandson who was playing for England we could not have a drink in the bar area as they don't allow children therefore this should be stated prior to booking. There is only limited parking and that is at the back of the hotel on an incline so it is no good for the disabled. This should also be stated.
Offered a upgrade to luxury for free
Breakfast on 2nd day was chaotic
Complete lack of staff
Position , clean , no formality, helpfulness of staff . Breakfast. Allowed bags to be deposited early.
Having to go on the street to get to eating area , (no great problem).
Noise, run down room
The staff and general feel to the hotel was just amazing. There was a very upbeat friendly feel and the staff especially Dylan couldnt do enough for you. They had a range of rooms which id have liked to have known prior to booking but the public bar and restaurant area and the decking and seated area out the back really was spectacular. We were staying due to a family funeral and were made to feel welcome and were able to relax from the moment we checked in. Breakfast looked small on arrival but was just the perfect amount.Beds were turned down and room tidied also and the entire venue was spotlessly clean throughout. Will most definitely return.
The room we had was smaller than it looked like online but was fine for the purpose of our visit although next time id like one of the disconnected rooms in the courtyard area.
The bed creaked the mattress was hard. The light in the hall shone through the crack in the door. The curtains were so thin the street light kept us awake The room was too hot
Friendly staff. Nice room. Good breakfast. Stayed here twice now and will be booking again.
Room we stayed in had a lot of damp on one wall.
As a regular traveller I understand that things can't always be perfect. In my opinion the mark of a good hotel and its staff is when an issue is reported it is dealt with and resolved quickly. The staff at the Globe & Crown did just that, top marks.
This property is managed by a couple who want to make it better, that is commendable! The price is very good, and the staff are great.
WiFi can be hit and miss - some rooms will have zero connectivity. Some rooms are in need of an update. Some rooms (road side) can be noisy.
