Gloucester House  

The staff were excellent, everything you could want was catered for. The apartment is spacious and very well equipped, ours overlooked the sea, beautiful views and spent hours watching the world go by. The bed is enormous and very comfortable, a small en-suite with a good powerful shower and a wall mounted tv in the bedroom and lounge.

Just a couple of minor things, a brolly would be a welcome addition to the room, just in case. The information book in the room stated we could watch Sky sport and movies but these were not available.

I have stayed at quite a few hotels on the island, but this far exceeds the hotels. I must admit the internet photos do not do the apartment justice. I would stay again without hesitation.

Apartment was very nice, clean and spacious, it was on the sea front and 200 yards to shops, had welcome pack which was very nice and cot as requested.

Welcome was poor . Noise in street behind hotel after 11 pm at night by noisy youths, jacuzzi bath not working and no highchair available

The sound proofing could have been more substantial.

All the comforts of home in a hotel! Spacious rooms, well laid out and practical, had everything we could possibly need. Bread, milk etc welcoming package was a great addition. Overall very pleased with our stay and would definately use again, especially considering the value for money!

Bathroom was relatively small compared to size and quality of the rest of the room/flat. Shower was still a great size though.

The Apartment was lovely, the views were even better. We were greeted by the manager personally who explained everything to us, she had even got some breakfast supplies in for us as requested and the welcome pack was a lovely touch. Great Service. The cleaner was lovely and did a great job Its location is ideal for both the shops and the ferry terminal. Would highly recommend it to all types of travelers both business and family. The one down side is that the island is very expensive for drinks and food and the transport system both trains, trams and buses don' t seem to co-ordinate with each other which makes it difficult to time connections even for the tourist trails. The Islander's are also not very friendly in the bars and shops and the Welcome Center staff quite abrupt with us as well. " We look after our own" was one comment we got when we remarked on it!!. Shame as for those reasons we would not visit the island again.

The ability to make the apartment a home from home provided a wonderful, relaxed stay. The staff were unobtrusive but on hand if needed.

Gloucester House is an apartment hotel. It was useful to have a kitchen with all the amenties. One room was large with a small shower and toilet and the other room was a study made into a double bedroom which was quite small. It was fine staying there with our children aged 20 and 14. The view from the apartment were lovely right in front of the promenade. It was only a 2 min walk to the shops. Would def stay again
