I liked the location as we had everything around us that was needed. The room was always cosey as heating was on. The shower was powerful and always hot water to, so another bit of comfort. The floor was just bleached so you could smell the cleanliness & the beds/bedding were comfortable.
I wasn't that bothered but maybe there should be a toaster in the room and a draining board for the dishes as they were put in the cupboard still wet. Maybe a wee bit more dishes supplied to including bowls.
- Close to Finsbury Park station - Relatively clean - Staff were friendly
- There was no toilet paper in my room when I arrived - There was no way to phone reception, and the reception is across the road - The room is fairly cheap and nasty in quality, I've stayed in a nicer student dorm - The bathroom has nowhere to put anything - you have to hold everything you want to use. Even the toilet roll doesn't have a holder! Pretty disgusting. - Breakfast is toast. That's about it. - Stairs are extremely loud, and most of the rooms are right by the stairs so you get that noise.
This is the second time I came to the hotel; the first being last Dec 2013. The location is simply superb. Transportation (bus stops and the Tube) is a stone throwaway. Food is readily available. A wonderful park nearby. And near a 24 hours bowling alley too! easily connectable to Portabello Road and Oxford/Regent area.
Met with the lady staff manning the reception counter twice. The first (checking in), it was me smiling and being courteous throughout, while she was actually being rude by hurrying us away. We booked two units and her facial reaction and attitude was not very professional at all. The second time I met her was during checking out. She uttered loudly the fact that I had too many door cards, of which I tried to explain that we had two units (2 separate families), thus the fact that we needed 2 cards for each unit just in case i wanted to go watch soccer and my spouse wanted to go shopping. And it was her who issued the cards, anyway. She shook her head and without even looking at me, took the cards away and continued with her work. Spoiled the mood of the day, actually..
The room was clean with all facilities needed, including a kitchen area. Very handy location wise for the purpose of our trip, and will definitely be using it again in the future. Extremely pleased! And also very surprised how reasonable the price was in comparison to some other establishments I have stayed in, none of which have been even close to the standard provided. Definitely recommend it to anyone. Big thumbs up! :-D
The fact that we were only there for one night! Could have stayed on longer!!! :-)
I didn't fell safety in that area Breakfast was very poor
Location, good amount of tea and coffee
Not cleaned very well, staff weren't friendly, no wifi, TV remote sticky, divan beds looked like they'd been left sat in puddles,
The room was very clean. Beds comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities. Knives, forks, plates, microwave great to have these.
As the heading, the address given when booking is number 20, but this is not where the main reception is. You have to go across the road to number 3/15 to check in. If you had a long journey and were tired and got a taxi to number 20 with luggage, going from one place to another might not be fun.
There was lady have green eyes and glasses and yellow hair working in the staff of the hotel she was very bad with talking with others and she is thinking her self as a doctor
Great hotel for the price we paid. Very clean rooms. The beds were comfy and we had a good night's sleep. The bed linen was nice n clean as we're the towels. Brilliant location for the tube!!!
The breakfast was basically toast or cereal but for what we paid it wouldn't put us off from staying again.
The room was very clean Beds and pillows were lovely
Breakfast was very basic. We wasn't told that the rooms weren't in the main building and as there was nobody on a reception the front door should not have been left open. The fire extinguishers should be checked every year!!!! ( 2011 in our room)
The distance was good, close to a tube station. There was a fridge and a kettle available. The beds were good and the entire room was okay
The noise from other rooms and also from outside, because the windows had to be kept open due to hot weather and the lack of air conditioning
Internet very bad
Good location within short distance for buses, tube & trains. Comfortable bed, clean room. Staff ok & helpful.
Bathroom small, no soap holder in shower. No hooks to hang coats, towels. No table lamps. Breakfast was limited to 2 cereals, bread for toast or with cheese & ham.
Good location for Wireless
The breakfast??? Meat and cheese in England ? Really?
you can park your car
the curtain was very tin in the room.because of that we couldn`t sleep at all.and to me the room and bathroom needs refurbishing.
Worst place i have been in london. Dirty and old rooms. Pepole at reception that tells uncorrect informations and in a quite rude way. Not worthed a single penny.
It's location close to the transport hub of Finsbury Park
Unmanned hotel and the staff leaving the main door open 'on the latch'
it is well situated for my purpose, and is quiet street.
no hairdryer in the room
Close to town Near shops Quiet and secure place
No good breakfast Small shower no spacious No iron
Said the room I booked had wifi and it didnt
It was close to the Emirates Stadium
Everything else about the hotel, breakfast was lousy, room too small, air-conditioner not cold
The free car parking and also only a 2 minute walk to the tube station
Heating on all the time meaning our room was too hot and the other room was stone cold as the heating didn't work at all
Location Fairly clean
No wifi when it was advertised No hairdryer when it was advertised No Heating....which I would have presumed was a basic requirement
The location was good, parking was alsoo included in my hotel rate.
There were people smoking by the door, my room was facing that way, so it was smoky all the time. Staff actually went through my stuff, on several occassions I found that they had taken away some of the tea bags and milk I had saved for later. Not sure I would stay again. No!
