This is a delightful little place just outside Cowbridge. The owners were so friendly and helpful. It is B&B with a twist, breakfast was supplied in your room but it was self service.Delicious freshly laid eggs (we had them poached on toast), cereals, croissants, tea, coffee etc.Freedom to have breakfast at your leisure .Fabulous grounds, good pub 2 minutes away for evening meal. Lovely place ,would recommend.
Would be even nicer in warmer weather to enjoy the grounds
Set apart from the main house ensuring peace and privacy. The fact that we got our own breakfast meant we could get up when we pleased.Lovely garden to sit in.Chance to visit the vineyard and llamas.
TV remote rather unreliable
Didn't have to wake up a certain time for breakfast - we can do whatever we liked in our own time. We also loved the way we can do our own breakfast. The place was beautiful and we had some really nice quiet time to ourselves.
The fridge was amazing - but made weird noises periodically. That's just me being ridiculously fussy though!
Location in terms of its particular context, i.e., a place in countryside off the beaten track, excellent. The house/apartment was clean, spacious, with food, cooking facilities, all excellent. Beautiful gardens, and the owner friendly and courteous.
The term 'didn't like' is too strong in this case.Because the overall standard was so high, it was only little things that stood out. 1: two small carpets on either side of the bed were slippery underfoot on the wooden floor, so we put them to one side.2:the television was slightly temperamental, possibly the channel changer needed batteries.3: For me, the pressure of the shower was too low, but in all honesty apart from the top hotels, shower pressure has never been satisfactory anywhere.4: I appreciate the 'remoteness chic' of the location, however, finding the place was made more difficult by lack of signposting outside the property; there was a sign on a post with 'Glyndwr Vineyard' on it, however this was resting against a wooden fence facing the ground, letting the insects but no one else know we were here. All things considered though, these are small things in the context of the overall experience, which was excellent
They had thought of everything you could need. It's was fantastic sitting in out in the garden. The breakfast ingredients provided were perfect. Everyone made us very welcome.
Perfect location Perfect host Great attention to detail
Was all first class
Great hosts. Lovely room. Everything you need and more; there were hot water bottles, electric blankets, etc. The food provided was all high quality and much more of it than expected. Eggs from their chickens, good bread both brown and white, croissants, biscuits, fruit juice, yogurts, cereals, etc.
Was welcomed by Richard who was friendly and extremely informative. He was more than happy to show me around the Llamas and vineyards! Would love to stay again.
Beautiful situation, great breakfast, fantastic hosts.
