All round good hotel, room was great
Only down point was the tv reception was terrible in the room
The reception girls were very helpful, and courteous
Noisy corridor and room above, didn't sleep very well, shower very poor in room, no pressure and very little hot water . Waitress not very knowledgeable when ordering dinner
Beautiful hotel with friendly helpful staff. Food outstanding.
Staff were friendly, rooms clean
Spa area filters in jacuzzi not working properly people eating sandwitches at poolside dropping them then eating them, hotel in need of a few touch ups slightly dated
good location ,facilities &staff
bed was uncomfortable & just squeaked any time you moved, matress was solid too.
Good for a nights stay if you are flying from Glasgow airport
Rooms in need of major upgrade - ie broken tiles in bath, bedrooms a bit scruffy. Not a single picture on the walls. Out dated tv. Our room had frosted glass to hide the view ie a roof. Breakfast mediocre, no side knife, no teaspoon, buffet ran out of some food close to closing time. Staff don't seem too interested.
The staff at the Glynhill are the friendliest, most professional and accommodating whereby nothing is to much trouble. The accommodation and facilities are inviting and superb and the food is excellent. Great hotel to start and end a holiday, short break and business stopover.
Modern extensions on an old building. The rooms were of a good size and beds comfortable. The Sport and leisure facilities were very high quality.
Location was in a large residential area. The staff were not welcoming nor very friendly.
Overall the place was excellent, breakfast staff were either ignoring you or so helpful I couldn't fault them. If there is a function on ie a wedding you will hear the music until it's finished. The lesiure facilities were lovely and the pool was great!
Noise from function
Reception good apart from barbra.
A rude chambermaid. Difference in price of drinks between hotel bar and Harry's bar.
Noisey Mattress poor Room aged Room small
Too warm, too noisy
Bedroom overlooked kitchen exhaust. Very noisy, I was forced to keep windows shut there was no Access room hot leading to poor sleep. Pillows were foam and amongst the worse I have ever slept on. Breakfast was okay except for the tea which was about the worst I have ever drunk. The toaster was one of those conveyor belt ones, the only problem was the toast dropped down the back and was near on impossible to recover.
Some guests were there obviously on business but also some obviously not, the hotel is totally geared for both, with well informed (as well as polite and friendly) staff, so the mix works well. Good, comfortable, well proportioned room and great bathroom. I slept so well I didn't have time for the gym in the morning! Great breakfast and it was included in the price - bonus.
What's not to like??
We both like how close to Glasgow city centre the hotel is and how easy to get to the shopping centre. The hotel facilities are excellent and the breakfast supeb.
The only point I could find is the room was too hot.
The room we had was very small basic and very dark and was in need of a bit of TLC :-( need to brighten it up and re- vamp would help. Hotel location was great and beautiful from outside and the other half of the hotel looked really nice :-) that must be where all the functions are held. Food and service was good ad well presented
Whole experience was excellent
The room/resturants/atmosphere and the friendly welcome from all the staff. Linda/Lydia in the restuarants Kerry in the bistro fabulous and the reception girls. Also the housekeeper who always made sure our room was tip top
Only minor issue. There was a Hen/womans night in the function suite that spilled over into the bistro. It was a bit loud. But did not spoil our evening too much.
This was my third time staying at the Glynhill Hotel and once again I wasn't disappointed. All the staff are really helpful and genuinely interested in making your stay enjoyable. We were a party of 8 and they made sure we were all on the same floor and we all had lovely rooms. The food is excellent too a good variety and choice. I cannot fault our stay and we will certainly be back.
The drinks were expensive and there was quite a difference in price between Harry's bar and the hotel bar.
Food in restaurant was excellent but staff let it down
Room was tiny . Tv didn't work ..far too warm above kitchen I think cause fans seemed to be switched on very early in morning ..
Front desk staff were very helpful. The location is fantastic if you need to be near glasgow airport.
The beds were uncomfortable and noise carried throughout the hotel which made for a difficult night's sleep. the service at the restaurant could have been better, they were very slow and not well organized.
Location Breakfast Parking
Room was old and tired and above all no air conditioning and the windows didnt open - even in September far too hot to be comfortable and no sleep possible
Friendly and efficient staff; good hotel with range of faciltiies and modern rooms. Breakfast very good .Free parking on site. Close to M way links and airport.
long corridors and mini stairs can be a difficulty if you have heavy cases or any disability . There is a lift at reception
Friendly staff in bar and reception. Not so much in restaurant.
Very tired rooms, nothing like the ones on the booking site. Rooms were stuffy and humid, could only open the window an inch. Gym was run down and stuffy. Hotel was nice enough but i feel we got shipped off to the rooms at the back of the hotel that hadn't had a refurb yet. Although, lovely staff in reception/bar, we didn't feel so welcome in the restaurant in the evening. The waitress clearly wanted to get us out and go home and the waiter kept pretending he couldn't hear is when we tried to get his attention.
