The efficiency of the staff & cleanliness of the place. Very good service & attention to detail. Lovely room and en suite, very clean.
Wasn't anything we didn't like
Nice and clean and good value for money
Breakfast only until 0830 which is a bit mean especially as we had been to a wedding the night before. Having said that, the breakfast was excellent even through blurry eyes!!
Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Clean.
The light in the centre of the room hangs down too far, as in only 150cm from the floor.
the breakfasts had obviously been cooked in advance & kept warm
The cheap price and very suitable room.
Sharing a toilet with no hand washing facilities in it.
Staff were efficient but not very friendly.
The room was very clean and homely with comfy beds.
We were allocated a room on the ground floor and found it was very noisy as it was located close to the kitchen even very late at night/into early morning.
Everything really. Nice atmosophere, clean, comfy beds, nice decor mixed the old with the new. Friendly staff, lovely breakfast. Would recommend
The staff were very polite and friendly and the breakfast was well cooked. The rooms were very clean
The bed although a double was a bit short for a 6ft man
Helpful & friendly man in charge Clean room Comfy bed & nice big sink Plenty of parking Convenient for travelling to Guildford Plenty of pubs and a Beefeater nearby Complimentary wine & water on first day
As my room wasnt ensuite I had to share a shower room & toilet which was ok but the shower was up a flight of stairs & not next to room. Not ideal having to walk around in dressing gown hoping nobody about. Carpet on stairs & landings need a good clean & it would look so much better & in keeping with rest of the hotel. Wooden blind broken on front window facing the road so no privacy when changing.
The standard of facilities were excellent and the breakfast provided were nicely cooked and presented.
Staff a little disorganised on arrival but were very courteous and friendly.
Very clean and comfortable room, excellent service, and a very enjoyable stay in Godalming!
Convenient, not restricted ours.
staying on ground floor due to the type of flooring they have in the hallways, you can hear everyone walking about and not having soft closing doors. You have to ask for a ironing board which is so small and the iron had seen better days. Cobwebs on main light hanging above the bed. The bed was really hard to sleep on
Clean, well equipped facilities, friendly service, conveniently located, good value for money.
Friendly service and nice breakfast. Great dining area.
No curtains in my room, Just a blind therefore woke up early in the morning due to sunlight coming into room. Also as at front of hotel very noisy with traffic passing by.
Convenient for visiting our daughter. Breakfast service prompt. Staff pleasant. Room at back quiet.
Stairs, corridors, room and shower, not cleaned properly. Nowhere to sit apart from dining room area. Breakfast choices very limited.More like a B&B than a hotel. Expensive for what it offered.
I liked the level of service and the good standard of accomodation. Not only 2 bottles of water but also a small bottle of wine was included which unfortunately was not to my taste as it was a chardonay and I prefer merlot or shiraz wines. Nice thought though as not seen anywhere else.
I visited The Three Lions pub adjacent to The Godalming for a nice refreshing lager. I asked for a pint of Carling. When the lady charged me £4-10p I nearly fell over! It's only £2-30p where I live. There's 1 thing I can't stand and that's being ripped off! Hardly surprising then that there were'nt many customers in despite the live entertainment, which by the way was a bit dreary and melancholy.
Very comfortable bed. Pleasant and friendly staff. Reasonable price. Great shower. Very nice breakfast.
Room was very small but had all facilities I would expect for the price. Bathroom lacked a shaver socket for my electric toothbrush. The bathroom was very compact (small).
Comfortable room, nicely decorated, secure parking. would recommend people to stay here.
Room had a funny smell, breakfast was quite basic.
The politeness of the staff. The breakfast and the smart design of the dining equipment.
The rooms were far too noisy. No soundproofing of the walls meant I was able to hear everything from next door. The light fitting was too low for me (I am tall and I kept hitting my head.) The Wi-fi was intermittent. Not good value for my money.
Great service and informative. Arrived early and room wasn't ready but they rushed to make this available so great service. Was a quick over night stay but breakfast was nice in the morning and very good service in all aspects.
Good food nearby, delightful Village To Explore, Friendly Folk, Delicious Breakfast.
Very clean an cosy. Close to Guildeford city center. Parking and WiFi is free.
The front rooms are a bit noisy especially if you have the window open.
