Room was serviced to a high standard. Facilities were good and I had a pleasant stay. For breakfast there was a wide selection of choices. Overall very satisfied. Excellent parking facilities and plenty of space
Very nice single room with all amenities including small bottle of wine and another of water. Enjoyed my full English in the morning!
Sound-proofing between rooms not great, but it's what you'd expect in a converted old build.
Comfortable clean room; decent breakfast; free little bottle of wine and bottles of water; efficient staff. You get a lot for a relatively low rate,
For travellers without a car, it's a little bit out of the way from both Guildford and Godalming, but an easy walk from Farncombe train station. But that is why it is reasonable priced, I suppose.
Friendly staffs. Nice breakfast
Should have daily bottled water in the room.
Had to change my booking to 2 nights instead of 3, and had to still pay for the 3 nights. Paid on arrival so there was no reason they couldn't change it to 2-very greedy!!!! Cooked breakfast was poor! 1egg, 1 tiny piece of bacon, 1 skinny sausage, beans and tomato.
Nice old house, decent breakfast, clean, wifi, good price, close to my destination.
Noisy road, small parking
Atmosphere, just like being at home.
This hotel has very modern decore which is spotless. The manger most helpful with my luggage as I walk with a walking stick and breakfast was good. I will stay again next time I visit my son who is doing a degree in Guildford.
not enough variety of fruit at breakfast
Breakfast and service was excellent
Having to go downstairs to the shared toilet not ideal at all.
The Godalming Hotel's single room was the cheapest accommodation I could find in the area, & its location was handy for getting to the university by car. The service was good & the hotel was spotless.
The single room with shared toilet & shower was tiny & uncomfortable for a four night stay; more like staying in a hostel. It's location above the front entrance also made it a bit noisy & there were several things that didn't work or we're broken in the room e.g. Lights, blinds, tv signal intermittent. There was also an overwhelming smell of air freshener in the room when I first arrived.
Very cheap, friendly, quiet, good tv, lovely bed , tea and coffee and small bottle of wine in the room. Hot shower, good breakfast. Warm room. I lost my room key down the back of the toilet cistern and staff very laid back about it!
no curtains(there were blinds) . A picture or two on the wall would be nice!
Reasonably priced, prompt breakfast service, plenty of hot water
Car parking was horrendous - rarely a place out front and the narrowest of alleys to get to the rear of the hotel
Friendly greeting when we arrived. Not a lot of choice for breakfast but the Full English was very well cooked. We sat for ages chatting after we had finished eating and nobody came to hurry us away. I would certainly stay there again.
This hotel was spotlessly clean with extras such as free bottled water and wine in the room. Delicious breakfast cooked to order. Room very small but a really good nights sleep.
Outside looked very shabby and passage to rear car park too narrow for our big car. Rail to close our bedroom door from the hall side was too close to the frame so I hurt my hand quite badly when closing.
The inside was clean and modern, full English breakfast good
the outside (especially the back) was quite sruffy
Location, was convenient for the town and was able to accommodate a large family group. It had a quality of 'the hotel that time forgot' which I quite liked. Quiet.
Access to the car park at the back is tricky and very narrow..
Clean, comfortable room. Lovely dining room - good breakfast
Television poorly sited. Too far away to see properly
The breakfast was good, and the small number of staff (on a Sunday) were trying their best. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well after a disrupted train journey.
I have difficulty with stairs and one of my two small dogs can't do stairs at all, so to find there was no lift up to my first-floor room was a major hassle. The booking form said 'pets may be charged for', but nothing was put on my invoice, so it was a nasty surprise on arrival to be charged £10 for each of the dogs. Perhaps there needs to be a clear notice somewhere that a town the size of Godalming only seems to have one taxi, which needs to be booked an hour in advance on a Sunday morning - no help when I needed to leave soon after breakfast.
off street parking behind the hotel, decor downstairs was stylish and elegant.rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was good even though i only had juice cereal and toast, full english was available but i'm watching my weight. location was ten minutes from where i wanted to be the next morning.
rooms had wood flooring which mean't i could here the people above me. was woken up at 7am by the people above who were going for an early breakfast,i'm a light sleeper.other thing was on booking.com it said checkout was 11am but on desk in room it said midweek checkout was 10am.i would still reccomend it and would definately stay ther again if i was in the area.
Location and the very accomodating and friendly staff.
Room size - very small for a twin. No curtains on the window and the blinds did'nt work. Limited time for breakfast serving.
Bathroom. Within walking distance of centre / main street. Parking available
Room somewhat small so that double bed pushed up against one wall. Noise carried easily from surrounding rooms.
Cleanliness Comfort Location
Breakfast was served too late for us - we needed to leave at 8am. Would have liked to have taken a bacon sandwich but hosts unwilling. Very narrow entry to car park
Convenient location and nice breakfast area
Room very noisy from plumbing in room above and pillows very flat so poor nights sleep.
