The whole experience was absolutely brilliant. The staff were so nice and helpful. The breakfast choice.... well something for every taste and the breakfast room was quite delightful. The location is quiet and set in beautiful countryside on a farm. My granddaughter (9) and I had a lovely couple of days which included feeding the many animals on the farm, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Got a horse? then you can take him/her with you. I am definitely going to go there again.Forget those little pots of uht milk. You have a little fridge with a jug of fresh milk provided each day. There are those little pots of milk just in case you run out but I am sure that if you requested more milk there would no problem in getting it. The welcome feels like you are going to stay with friends. Highly recommended.
There was nothing to dislike
The room was spotless and the four poster bed scrummy. Mark met us and showed us around and gave us fresh cake too. His breakfast was awesome
The piece and quiet, without being too far from the village. Glorious views to wake up to from the South room. Mark knows how to serve a good breakfast, the fruit salad was just beautiful, and the fried bread the best we have ever eaten !!! Mark and Kathy are lovely hosts, very helpful and not overpowering. Thank you for the cake on arrival :) Will definitely be coming back.
Everything was just great: Kathy welcomed us to her beautiful house with a big smile. The house has so many pretty features, a feast for the eyes. We had fresh cake in our room, which was very big and gave onto an amazing landscape including the farm's lamas, horses and chickens. Breakfast was cooked fresh to order, with choice of many options including meat and fish. The jams were so yummy as well!! I really couldnt fault anything!
There is nothing I didnt like. Apart maybe that I had to leave in the end...
Everything you needed was already there!
Cockerel early morning call!
The Hut sits by its own pool and is completely private. It is simply but beautifully furnished and the memory foam mattress and good quality bed linen is gorgeous. We were lucky that the weather was good as it could have been muddy going back and forth from the hut to the kitchen/ shower room. Kitchen and shower room were excellent. Breakfast was lovely - more food than you can shake a stick at, and both Kathy and Mark were great hosts. Make sure you eat in the Taverners in the village - it's fantastic - will definitely be coming again.
Setting, design, location, owners, animals, breakfasts, area, views & hut! Would & have recommended to others, would stay again!
Just wish the utility room was a teeny bit closer but really just searching for negatives as was an extremely relaxing and pleasant stay.
Cannot fault the place 1 bit, the host were lovely. We had the four poster room and it was fantastic, loved the room I felt truly spoilt
Everything was great, the setting , the rooms, the welcome...and the stunning weather!
There was nothing to criticise.
Friendly, made us instantly welcome. Immaculately clean and wonderful breakfast. Will be back
Everything was top quality in our room.breakfasts very nice and plenty of choice.lovely setting and great hospitality.
Breakfasts in the farmhouse were excellent.
Nothing we didn't like. We stayed in the "Shepherd's Hut" as all the farmhouse rooms were full. Lovely comfy bed. Tho' having had our 'adventure' we would like to try a room in the house if we should visit the island again.
It was a perfect setting with excellent breakfasts, lovely room and very helpful and friendly host, Mark. We really enjoyed the local walks and the convenience of a short walk to Godshill to eat in the evening. The peaceful, relaxed atmosphere and home made cake treats made this a place to remember!
the beautiful surroundings. The little personal touches like the cake in our room! Outstanding , locally sourced breakfasts. The attractive room and the high quality and elegance of the building. last, but not least, the friendly owners.
Lovely house, especially the interior; great hospitality and wonderful breakfasts! The little 'extras' provided in the room made it extra special. Central Island location for which it was chosen, but also the lovely countryside walks enjoyed.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, Mark is an excellent cook and great fun and Kathy is lovely, we are planning to return.
It was just perfect!
A beautiful house, in peaceful, rolling downland. The rooms are spacious and comfortable - and the breakfasts are magnificent! Great hospitality, and excellent pubs in the village.
Absolutely beautiful. We booked the bed and breakfast for somewhere to stay while we were at the Isle of Wight festival. The owners of the property were extremely polite and were very friendly to talk to. They booked us into a restaurant on our first night there which they reccomended to us. They even gave us a lift to the festival (which we didnt expect) and gave us a number for a reliable taxi service to get back late in the evening. The room was just stunning and the view from our room was unbelievable. Breakfast was out of this world! We really couldnt have wished for a better place to stay and will definitely be returning in the near future! We would really reccomend this beautiful hotel to anyone! Thank you for an amazing couple of nights and such amazing service! Annie and Tom
The personal service when we arrived, cake and fresh milk was lovely,,. The farm itself was lovely, great walks and views.
I am allergic to animals,, we did'nt realise there would be dogs running around. Also the farm was not very well sign posted.
Overall, the accommodation is comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and the room a good size - if a little hot ! Tea making facilities were good although we needed to ask for milk. Bathroom was good. The directions to the accommodation were very clear
Breakfast was ok. Ordering breakfast on a form the night before is a little unusual and we still got stuff we didn't order and didn't get things we did. Whilst there was no decaf tea on day one - we were surprised there was still none on day two because apparently it wasn't worth going shopping so we provided our own. The breakfast table was ok but all the 'stains' from day one were still there on day two. The bacon on day two was inedible but it was changed with no problem. Maybe small things but this accommodation is not cheap. Whilst security is unlikely to be an issue - the room key did not work so the room had to be left unlocked all day and all night. We did highlight this but it was 'put in the Maintainance book'.
Lovely location and nice view from our room. Bed was huge and very comfortable.
Squeaky and thin mattress on the extra campbed. No highchair at breakfast.
