When we arrived it was raining and very cold no heating in our room no towels t.v not working. Spoke with staff requested another room as it was extremely unclean but didn't have anything. Had to go out and get my own bedding. Bunkbeds for kids but the side very unsafe and dirty had my son with me in clean bedding. Breakfast was smoked bacon no choice had to make own toast cuppas. Freezing throughout the hotel even in the dining area. Spoke with other customers who said that there rooms the same. Very disappointed wouldn't recommend will not go again.
The staff were lovely and the location was just what we were looking for. The rooms were okay, comfy enough for my family.
The long walk to tower
The room it really needed attention it was dusty falling apart small smells no towels or tissue it was not value for money it looked like a hostel
no internet looked as if it was closed not very clean no heating in hotel small heater in room only
Bathroom dirty, no towels given, fixtures held on by ducktape, pillows stunk! Holes in ceiling, noisy, the list goes on!
The manager of the hotel was very accommodating. The bar was open late. Child friendly. Nice breakfast.
Breakfast was good
The bunk beds were old, they squeaked with every move (all night!) and the matresses were just sticking out springs (all over). Had to put top matress on the floor as didn't look safe for an older child!.
Initial problems were put right straight away. Staff were helpful
It is unfortunate that the whole place needs a refurbishment and everything needs a GOOD clean.
Great value. Well located with all you need on site.
Hotel was good but Blackpool seemed closed and very rundown.
carpark location breakfast
beds uncomfortable dirty room no central heating windows did not open
On going investigation
Not clean under mattress, tv was also broke with hairline cracks in it, no hair dryer no wifi just a standard room to be honest.
The bed was comfy and the hotel was in a good location
There was a very bad damp smell in the lobby, the decoration could do with improvement and the bathroom/shower needed a clean
The hotel seems to have changed from the golden beach to the grand hotel. The hotel was filthy and when we went to check out...prior to staying the night the man on reception said there were other rooms available. When we refused to move rooms and said we was leaving..he then became abusive and fouled mouth. This is even though we was paying for the room.
Everything. It is dirty, ceilings are falling apart, breakfast is prepared well over half an hour before the dining room opens and is cold and nasty. Despite what is written they do allow very noisy same sex groups. We left after a couple of days despite booking and paying for a week. Absoluletly hated it - should be condemned!
Location was ok staff were friendly
Small room , tv didn't work , damp on the walls and ceiling bathroom tiny
Get what you pay for when our room was only 20 pounds
Very run down breakfast small and cold poor
The reception staff were helpfull & good.
The breakfast server was not dressed properly! He was in shorts! He was very loud when he talked to the guests, he should leave the guests alone & not try to chat to the guests as his voice is very loud & irritating!
This hotel is not what you want for luxurys..The prices are great for a budget booking.hope this explains to the readers.
The heating system was poor and the wet room needed improving.
NOTHING! DO NOT BOOK!
EVERYTHING!!!! Photos on website very misleading. Checked out after 5 minutes of arrival after seeing room which was filfy and inadequate for anyone to stay the night. No heating. Wafer thin pillows and duvet with stains and holes.
very nice helpful lady on reception
trailing extension lead for kids to keep tripping over, shower in disorder, mouldy sodden ceiling paper and no curtain in first room. Second room, exploding light bulb, total loss of electric for room.
Smashed window in reception, smashed windows in corridor, holes in the wall, no curtains, window didn't close, damp in rooms, on arrival no heater in room had to ask at reception, neighbours up until 7am with paper thin walls, smell of smoke throughout corridors, no toilet paper, had to shower in socks, stains on sheets, dust on pillows, will not be stopping again!
Hotel had a few problems and is in need of a bit of upgrade and T.L.C.
