Excellent breakfast. Free parking. Close to pleasure beach. Opposite tram stop. Restaurant and take away next door.
Small room. Limited TV channels (no BBC channels).
the breakfast was nutritious and varied. thats all the "grand beach" has going for it
outdated furniture and fittings, very unclean, lack of bedding changes.no facilities nor cleaning agenda.
Holes in floorboards, only carpet stopping us from falling down. Holes in walls and doors. Very dirty everywhere. Flee bites. Not enough pillows (asked for another staff member said there was none). No pressure in shower. WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!!
Hot water in the morning
Breakfast was horrible, sour milk! Dirty, broken windows, uncomfortable bed, creaky floorboards, mouldy shower
The entire experience
Welcoming staff Great breakfast close to pleasure beach great price

The room was small , we asked for double room and there was bunk beds and double bed in the same room we couldnt move , it smelt , the bed was dirty , wall paper hanging off the wall , shower and toilet was dirty and the staff not very helpful.so spoke to the staff and all she said not having your money back so we walked out.
staff very friendly especially the young man on reception

The staff were good, saved our luggage before and after we checked in which was great.
Breakfast wasnt very much. Rooms need updating majorly, no wardrobe or towels in our room. Was a very standard b&b
Everything. Was not clean, had to get sheets changed, quilt had stains all over! Stunk and bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned for weeks. Would NOT recommend going here.

The mold and mildew. The view of a roof with syringes and broken bottles all over it. I couldn't even move in the room. The smell was awful. it was just a very unpleasant experience and we had to move hotels after the first night.

Breakfast was nice Bed was comfy Quiet location
No light bulbs in lights Needed cleaned in places Needs a good bit of TLC

Hotel was minging
Room 25 is where we stayed, wall covered with damp, window was grimy as hell, bathroom door jammed badly, shower looked disgusting, grouting was black and gross, toilet had a bad pushback, only stayed as it was a last minute booking and was last available room, will certainly not use this hell hole again, and will be contacting booking.com for a damn refund. Oooooh and best part, god damn fire alarm 5.30am on a sunday morning, false alarm and no one checked to see if everyone evacuated, I know this as I did not leave the room.... Avoid at all costs. Ooops almost forgot no cover on the quilt and grime under the bed
I've stayed in a few b&bs in Blackpool and you expect it's not going to be 5 star, but this place is by far the worst I've stayed in. The room was tiny and filthy, the bathroom door had a hole in and the entire room had a damp issue. I have seen cleaner carpets in a pub during a football match! To top it off I couldn't even have a brew in the morning as they didn't provide milk! Not suitable for anything other than renting it by the hour!
There was nothing l like it was so dirty
I didn't like it because it was so dirty and did my own cleaning in my room the duvet was so dirty it was so bad it sure of bin put in bin l started for two night and l went l was booket in for four night and breakfast so yes l sure of got my money back if not all some of it back
Overall damp feel to the lace, furniture wear and tear, bunks very squeaky, rooms too warm
Shower didn't work toilet didn't work properly
We were treated very nice when we arrived. The man on the desk was lovely and helpful.
When we booked this hotel the confirmation came back as the golden beach hotel so we were looking for that but realised the grand beach hotel was our hotel after being informed on reception they were the same company. It looked neglected unfortunately and we were disappointed. We were two families and both booked family rooms, we couldn't spend any time in the room as it was tiny. The bathroom window wouldn't shut it was so old. Our bed was right under the window and when closed it didn't shut any noise out as the seal was worn. It is very basic and desparately needs updating. The dining room was nice and the breakfast was ok. There is a bar area with a little stage but it is full of arcade machines and obviously not had entertainment on for a long time. The ladies toilets downstairs had a closed sign and when you went inside the doors all had do not use on them but we had to use them because of young children. The toilet leaked when you flushed it and there was an unpleasant smell when in the bar area. It said on the description they had live entertainment on Saturday nights but this was not the case there was a tv on with mtv on with no sound and a cd was played. There is only one woman serving breakfast. We only saw 3 members of staff over our 3 days the guy on the desk who also served the bar at night and the woman who served breakfast, there was an older woman in the morning when breakfast was on but she stayed in the kitchen in the back and cleared the tables. We spent very little time in the hotel as there was nothing to do and the rooms so small so we spent most of our trip doing lots of walking around blackpool with our children. We read the reviews before going and just thought some may have been picky but I would think about it before you book.
