Friendly staffs near to bus stops lots of facilities around
too much stairs, hence not a good place for older ppl with knee problem
Staff we managed to speak to were fine
We were meeting my brother who had booked at the Golden Strand requesting a quiet room away from the road as we had. Found there was no manager on site. Just a note with the telephone number of Saba hotel. There was confusion about which hotel/room my brother was staying in. Eventually found out that as the Golden Strand did not have rooms away from the road available, he had been put up in a basement room in a nearby guesthouse with shabby public spaces. Again there was no manager on site so problems with the room required going to another hotel. Beware that pictures on the website of golden strand hotel may bear little resemblance to where you may end up.
every thing announced was there, Nice localization, tube and bus close enough, very efficient team, nice breakfast.
Excellent value for money compared with significantly worse local alternatives.
Helpful staff when they were there!! Clean Ideal location for Olympia We were allowed to our room at 9:30am on arrival even though check in is later. This was really helpful as we were going to Olympia.
No reception on the TVS Extremely small room(ok if you are a borrower) My daughters bed fell apart and we had to put the screw back in. Pitiful breakfast Had to go to the sister hotel down the road for assistance.
I was pleasantly surprised with this place. Well, it is within 10-12 minutes from a tube station (at least that is what it was from "Hammersmith"). The area is not too noisy. My room was on top floor, which was even better. Room was clean, bathroom spacious enough, TV worked fine, Wi-Fi as well. The breakfast (included) not bad at all. Great price for London.
The location was good and the price was reasonable
Our key card only started working ten minutes before we checked out so had to keep getting staff to let us in. The window seal wasn't very good so let in a draft
I liked very much the area, close to the center, especially because we used the bikes for transportation. The beds were very comfortable. We also like the breakfast and the staff.
The heating is very bad, so that was the only problem. We only had just one very small heater in a 4 persons room. It was quite cold.
it was very clean and comfortable
there was not enough tables for breakfast, so we had to go to a café further down the road as we couldn't get a table
Location and staff.
Bathroom far to small and dangerous when getting out of the shower. Only 1 small towel and 1 pillow on the bed. No lifts so not suitable for less abled or elderly persons.
- Free Wifi - Location - Reasonable price - En suite - Friendly staff
- Leak in the room - Had to store luggage in another hotel and when we went back there was no staff available. - Heating far too hot in middle of night - Curtains wouldn't close - Noisy in the room
The staff were quite nice, and helpful when asked. We were allowed to leave our luggage there after check out, at no charge. The place was reasonably tidy and the dining area was spacious and had a nice feel to it. The location was quite centered for our plans and it was only a 5-10 minute walk to the underground station.
The noise from other guests late at night was very loud but the windows do block out traffic noise. They need to supply bath mats and more towels in the rooms. They do supply them when you ask but it seems we had to ask ever day. Also, the drains are very blocked. We found ourselves standing in an inch or more of water when we showered. The breakfast was very budget. Eggs on toast and fruit salad out of a tin. We only had this a couple of times as we wanted more variety. I had to buy milk from the shop as the tiny capsules supplied in the room weren't enough for my preferred coffee. They did have a fridge in the room to put it in which was noisy at night but i was so tired it didn't bother me. It did bother my friend though. Overall, we had somewhere to sleep and shower so it wasn't to bad.
any shelf in bathroom
Parking was £2.20 per hour, payable 9am-6pm. Checkin was 'up the road' not great whilst carrying bags in the pouring rain.
Location was excellent for us Really Clean Great Staff Great Price
Room a little compact but ideal for what i needed
Bad wifi connection.
Was put in saba hotel as owned by same people as strand was full. great service good breakfast.nice and clean. only short walk to tube.
Good value for money, clean and comfortable.
Top floor no lift.
Very friendly staff Very clean Cosy breakfast room Good location to visit the town
Not possible to lower the heat.
I really liked the freshly painted new looking walls in out room. Everything looked new and clean. We had a huge refrigerator. The staff was incredibly friendly. We could leave our luggage there during the day before we took our flight back home. The breakfast is simple but tasty.
Nice Location Nice Breakfast
It was convienient for what we wanted
Wasn't happy as we booked this hotel because Booking.com information said it had parking. When I contacted the Hotel it informaed me that the parking was on road parking...so beware...No parking on site. The room was ok as we were only staying 1 night but it was for 4 people (I would not have wanted to be in there if there was 4 of us) and the bathroom and furniture were very tired.
Friendly Staff. The Location.
Bed not comfy
Within a short walk of subway station which was convenient and lots of restaurants nearby.
