Its just great we have been several times before and it always excels. Great food, good wine, great hosts Minor point - Need to improve the kitchen fan/extraction system as you can really smell cooking fat in the bar and on your clothes after a meal (even breakfast)

A nice change from the larger hotel chains. The restaurant/bar has great character and very good food. I would travel an extra 45 mins to stay in this hotel rather than a more convenient location.

The staff are lovely, they take the time to talk to you and make you feel welcome - which is good for solo business travellers. The pub is warm and cosy, the food is great and the rooms are spacious comfy and clean. Only 5 minute drive to centre of Rugby. 10 minutes from M6 J1

Friendly staff, clean, warm, good food and not expensive. In quiet countryside with good access to Rugby, and motorways. We have stayed before. need to walk outside from accommodation to dining area, OK when fine, unpleasant if wet weather

Decent restaurant/pub attached, certainly a better choice than a Travelodge/premiere Inn Would have liked a power shower, though shower provided was fine.

Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Reliable wi-fi in bar and rooms. Fire Doors repeatedly propped open into bedroom areas. We closed them, but wedged open again the next day.

A great welcome greets you when you arrive; everything's organised and nothing was too much trouble. They even took care to ring straight after I'd booked online to let me know there was a wedding function happening the evening we were staying so we were aware that the place would be busier / noisier than usual. But had been thoughtful enough to put us in a roomfar enough away so we wouldn't be disturbed. We also had a lovely breakfast in the morning and nothing was too much trouble.

Very warm welcome and lovely stay. Food in the pub was great with enormous portions and very reasonably priced. A rather unique combination of modern hotel rooms and an old village ub. We will be back
