Golden Lion Hotel  

We liked the room, the food and service at the hotel. I cannot fault any of that. I would also say the WiFi worked well. A good signal. I cant say that about every hotel.

I didnt like the small espresso sized tea cups in the room, that many hotels provide. Why is this?

The staff were excellent, and the restaurant was very nice.

The beds were a little hard - and the rooms were a little small.

Staff are genuinely friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble and always greeted with a smile. Food in the restaurant is very good too!

If your staying in the room with the 4 poster bed, make sure you can make it into bed....its a long way up!

Helpful, pleasant staff. Great food at reasonable cost. Very comfortable, clean rooms. Enjoyed the one night that we stayed there and would go back in a minute!

Cosy ambience

the staff were very friendly.

Upon checking in (the day after our own wedding) at 12.30 we were advised we were unable to leave our room between 2-4.30 owing to a wedding that was taking place in the reception area!! As such we were unable to explore the area and instead had to stay in our room.

Conveniently located near the motorways and in easy striking distance of the east side of Birmingham and Coventry. Reasonably priced and good wholesome food. Excellent staff and service. Rooms clean and well equipped.

I have no difficulties with any aspect of the hotel.

Lovely hotel in nice quiet location. Very clean and comfortable en-suite rooms. Excellent restaurant in a lovely setting, serving first class food. Will definitely stay there again.

Only complaint would be that there should be a link corridor between the hotel and the restaurant. Not far to walk between the two buildings but would not be too much fun if it was pouring down with rain or very icy.

Proximity to Rugby School. Nice bar atmosphere. Reasonable food. Good clean rooms with comfortable beds.

Comfortable room, pleasant staff and an attractive 'olde English' style bar and restaurant.

There is no indoor access from the accomodation through to the bar/restaurant. Bar and food prices are high and I personally considered over £5 for a glass of wine to be excessive.

Friendly welcome, very comfortable, good food and accomodation.
