Bar Area and location
Wifi only available near reception and a bit variable
Good location, friendly and helpful staff.
No WiFi in rooms, only in lobby and bar. Only one plug socket in room. This is the 21st Century, not good enough for a business traveller with phone, tablet, laptop etc. Shaver socket and heater in bathroom both not working and not repaired during stay.
Excellent location to local facilities.
Hotel Car park difficult to find.
I enjoyed the breakfasts
I would like to mention that the shower didn't work properly due to lack of hot water and pressure
The staff are always so friendly and can't do enough to make your stay a pleasant one. food in the restaurant was great as usual. location is right in the centre of the city with some great bars on your doorstep.
Loved the location of this hotel. In the centre of town and has free parking.Lovely big dining room.
The television in room 449 had no picture.Heated towel rail did not heat up.Fan in bathroom did not work. Mirror in room was filthy. Minor problems but I let reception know.
Hotel was lovely good location in town. Staff were friendly. Family room was spacious plenty of room to let little ones run about.
Bathroom was a bit tired but had everything you needed.
Great location, friendly staff, will definitely return
Location perfect staff vrry friendly
Great central location Friendly bar staff, very helpful
Room had a few issues, towel heater broken, shower rail very loose to the point of falling off, unfortunately the hotel was busy so no replacemenbt room could be offered.
Excellent staff, fantastic location
Wifi only available in lobby.
The toilet facilities on ground floor which are probably used by people who use the public bar, was in nice decorative and clean condition. Staff were pleasant enough although breakfast staff lady was gruff!
Couldn't believe my eyes at breakfast time when I witnessed the waitress(middle age plus), pouring left over milk from used tables- back into the main milk jug in full view of customers!! She also plonked my toast wrack on top of the plate of jams n butter!! Work that one out! The food was luminous and plasticated looking and tasted vile. I'll never return!
Bed not comfortable
The location was fantastic, epitome of central. Full of character too and the Reception Staff are very polite.
No WiFi in the room and a funny shower but they don't beat the location and the price.
Staff Location Food well prepared and plentiful both at breakfast and dinner
Staff Very Help full great location great hotel very central
Only Problem was no wifi in rooms.
Wi-fi not available in the room, only in the living-rooms
Very clean room, staff very helpful at Desk
Water pipes VERY loud during night and in morning. Above 107 Room
Friendly staff, comfy beds, good shower
We return to this hotel every year to meet up with friends. It's a historic, unpretentious hotel with friendly, helpful staff . It's in an ideal central location, close to the shopping centre and Stirling castle and has its own car park.
The view from some of the rooms at the rear of the hotel don't have a nice outlook ( eg dirty old rooftops, walls or carpark) but this is a minor point as we don't come here for the view!
U could not have a bath when u wanted to we were told to wait half an hour and try again still didn't get hot water this was by assistant man of hotel
Comfortable and friendly
Good location, nice interior. Good variety at breakfast and free off road parking
Cheaper rooms are of poor decorative condition. I think they have budget rooms and nicer more expensive rooms
