The Golden Sands is in a wonderful location. Even though we couldn't get a room with a sea view we still enjoyed our stay. The staff were very polite and friendly and looked after us very well. We felt very welcome from the minute we arrived. The hotel food was of a very high standard and we felt spoilt with the choices on offer!! Breakfast was a real treat every monring. The days we stayed the weather was a real bonus and we didn't have to go far to be on the beach. A beautiful hotel to stay in and is highly recommended. Thankyou to all the staff.

This is a lovely hotel which is right on the beatiful St Brelades bay beach. The view from our room was breathtaking. The staff could not do enough for us and the food was excellent at both breakfast and dinner. We will be returning next year,

We loved the beautiful views from our balcony, looking over the sandy beach and clear blue sea. It was so lovely to be so close to the beach where we could take our morning walk after our big continental breakfast!

The position of the hotel was brilliant. The view from the bedroom and balcony was exceptional, it felt as if you were on the beach. The actual room was inviting and tea/coffee ingredients were generous. All the staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming. Staff were efficient and if there was any wait staff were apologetic. The system of having to use scratch cards for parking the car was a little irritating at breakfast time as you were always time watching.

Attention and personal service from staff. Courtesy shown was very good too. Lack of atmosphere in hotel lounge areas at night. Back ground music playing would have been welcome.

Fantastic location, could not be bettered anywhere, we were fortunate that the sun shone for the duration of our stay, which always helps. The staff in the hotel seem a very happy team & most of them spoke very good English, which is often not the case these days. We could not fault our room, the only issue was that for some reason they have positioned 'family rooms' on the fourth floor, which did mean a very early awakening for us, as our room was immediately below a young family. But the management agreed to move us further along & our peace was restored. Not all the rooms have been refurbished yet, so if this is important to you, ask if your room has been very recently refurbished as our two were. Delightful hotel, warm welcome, good food albeit it the restaurant felt slightly, slightly like a canteen. John the Scottish bar man is a really great asset to the team, a true gentleman, efficient, kind & no airs & graces. One slight issue was the hot breakfast food had to me picked up the taste of the chemicals used in the dishwasher. Although it was only faint it prevented me having a cooked breakfast, which was good for the diet & the other options were more excellent. On our final morning the team did have a bit of a customer build up, many people arriving for breakfast at the same time. Some of us returned to our rooms others went a brief walk, this did create some embarrassment as there was no record of who should go in first. Maybe, just maybe they should re-think this & perhaps record room numbers of those people who were waiting, we were fine, but another couple were slightly put out. Overall though Stefan was a consumate professional & he did his best to smooth over this minor hiccup.
