Golders Green Hotel  

I booked a twin room in this hotel based on picture on your website. Upon arrival, I was told double bed only. Was forced to make payment on check-in. Room was absolutely disgusting, bed clothes & chair all badly stained. Room in total disrepair. I requested a refund but no joy. Booked another hotel so did not actually stay here. It's a disgrace to call this a hotel

People were nice

Room was really small and my room was facing the street with the street noise impedinging my sleep because of the single glaze/incorrectly closing window.....

There was an unpleasent smell in the room and noise intrusion from passing traffic

The guy on the desk was very helpful and provided me with good company, conversation and a lot of grteen tea which was much appreciated:) Although as you'll read the aesthetics and decor were not the most pleasant it was warm, had hot water, very comfy bed, the area was very safe, really near some fab restaurants...so everything you need for passing through an area. Bathroom and bedsheets/towels were spotless. I would recommend the hotel as a stop gap passing through rather than a place to chill out in for rest and relaxation.

To be honest I hadn't been to london in 10 yrs and forgot how expensive it was so when I saw the room my heart sank. I knew I was going budget but thought it would be more pleasant than it was . There were slabs of wood covering holes in walls, untidy patch up diy and the cup in my room was greasy when I made some tea. THaving said that though it was so peaceful, comfy, quiet and I had the most comfortable sleep. A real life faulty towers that surprisingly won me over.

The service was good and the personnel are quite good n nice. But the only thing we encountered was that it was so noisy and it disturbed during the night when doors were used. Banging and it created depression when suddenly you are awake.

They donot changed the bed sheets during our 3days stay, even once. You can hear noises especially when someone entered and closed doors. So disgusting.

I was very satisfied with everything especially thinking of the low price of the room. The room was nice, great shower, good and healthy breakfast, and very nice staff. I would def. Come back!

If I would say anything that wasn't great, it would be that the room smelled a bit of old cigarette smoke. But it wasn't too bad.

Posizionato nel quartiere ebraico di Londra dista 500m dalla Stazione Underground Golders Green (Nortern Line - nera) che è anche capolinea di diversi Bus. Stando nella zona 3 si paga un po' ma si ha la possibilità di visitare tutto, nelle zone 4,5,6 non c'è niente o quasi. Il centro dista 20min di metro e 45-50 di bus.

Nella prenotazione ho specificato una matrimoniale e mi hanno dato una doppia con letti separati, ho dovuto litigare per cambiarla. Le lenzuola sporche con residui organici quali capelli e altro di precedenti clienti non coprono il materasso per intero e dormendo finisci a diretto contatto con il materasso. Dicono di non averne di più grandi. Il bagno pressochè un loculo ti ci giri a stento, offre solo un asciugamano per il viso, ho chiesto quelli per la doccia ma niente. Sulla tendina della doccia vi erano peli e capelli di precedenti clienti. Ti chiedono se vuoi le pulizie e che ti venga rifatto il letto, ma c'è polvere e laniccia ovunque. Pavimento rovinato con schegge di legno e sassolini sparsi per la camera. Le camere non sono insonorizzate come descritto, si sentono i piccioni all'esterno e tutti i rumori provenienti dalle altre camere. La cassetta di sicurezza non era presente. Ti dicono di non lasciare documenti o effetti personali in camera perchè capita che spariscano. Lungo i corridoi per accedere alle camere la moquette è sporchissima, vetri rotti e stufe accatastate tipo magazzino. La colazione conviene farla con poche sterline fuori dall'albergo perchè quella offerta è pietosa. A Roma spendendo molto meno nei dintorni della Stazione Termini dormi molto meglio.

Cleanliness

Poor breakfast. No milk in room for coffee. Rude comments from other guests at breakfast. No coffee with breakfast.

Convenient for transport to Camden and into town.
