Our room was lovely, big and had everything we needed. We were thinking of booking our wedding there so saw most of the rooms and they were all beautiful. The grounds are lovely and the hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating.
nothing. All good. just gutted I didn't have time to sample the afternoon tea. We might be back closer to Christmas for that.
The staff were very welcoming, the buildings and grounds look amazing.
The breakfast was very expensive and they didn't have wifi.
Our night at Goldsborough was relaxing. The grounds, house and restaurant were wonderful
Enormous bed; beautiful library, dining room, lounge and fantastic location.
Having to leave.......
Staff were excellent. Friendly and efficient. Really nice room with excellent en suite.
It being privately owned and intimate
We had a lovely warm welcome, the staff were all very friendly and the food was outstanding. They went out of their way to provide tea/coffee and fresh made shortbread for us since we couldn't leave the Hotel until the roads reopened after the Tour De France (not that anyone would ever want to leave).
Staff were top class... We arrived late and the chef stayed late to make us a wonderful meal. The food was superb, the setting was exceptional and it was made to feel like we were in a very special place indeed. The room was excellent along with the fittings. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone lucky enough to get a room and will certainly chose to stay there again.
Very high standards of excellence throughout.
The location was idyllic; the staff were friendly; the food was absolutely divine.
The waterfall shower.
Wonderful stay, staff very friendly , accomadation superb
I adored Goldsborough the first time I stayed last year as a solo traveller and chose to stay there again, this time with my mother. The house and grounds were as wonderful as ever, and I was once again delighted to be greeted by the friendly feline residents. Dinner was delicious and it was a lovely couple of nights.
While the staff were flawlessly friendly and polite, they seemed slightly overwhelmed by the four parties of two staying, so that the experience felt slightly less smooth than my previous stay. We were unable to open the wardrobe in our room and, despite mentioning this to the staff and requesting that someone have a look at it, this was not rectified.
Stayed in the emperor suite, room was amazing, especially the hot tub. Had the best beef I've ever tasted in the restaurant, staff were very friendly.
Staff friendly without being stuffy.
we had to be in our rooms by 11.00 oclock as it is a home not just a hotel. The ground floor is alarmed at 12.00.
What's not to like?
Perfect romantic break - friendly attentive staff, delicious food, wonderful setting and excellent suites with lots of space, comfort, and facilities. Definitely one to recommend and somewhere we would love to visit again in the future.
Staff on arrival were attentive - room was magnificent! clean and tidy and all mod cons - food was 5* - was an absolute pleasure to be there - we would definitely recommend
There wasnt anything to dislike at all
We loved the surroundings and the fact we felt were guests for the weekend in someone's country home. Also the gentleman who served us dinner etc was so attentive and full of stories about the history of the house.
Everything the people were wonderful and made you feel so at home but also special it was a privalage to stay and will be back very soon
Nothing totally faltless
The staff and the bed
Shower room too small, the price
The excellent welcome by Jeeves, Goldsboroughs resident black cat!
No red wine in the rooms, due to their spotless white carpets...
A unique experience for seaoned traveller.
Getting correct water temperature for shower a little hit & miss, however, everything else makes this more than bearable!
first class relaxing location
Very helpful and friendly team, and also very welcoming.
