The Golf Hotel & Aqua Sante Spa - Woodhall Spa  

We were attending a wedding nearby.The staff at the hotel were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. They found me a charger for my blackberry - I had left mine at home - and plasters for my heels when new shoes were uncomfortable!!!! The food was excellent and beautifully presented.

Quiet and Friendly. Close to all facilities. Relaxed and friendly. Good free WiFi access. Nice well appointed room.

Not dislike, but the ground floor is superb, my room was good, but the upstairs needs sprucing up - clearly this is happening progressivly.

The restaurant was excellent and good for value. The Spa was relaxing and very professional staff. The staff made us welcome and was very friendly.

Didn't like the fact that had to ask 3 times for coffee and tea, but got there in the end.

I liked the style of the room and the reception area, the bed was very comfortable

The outside of the building looked a bit run down, aswel as the hall ways, me & and partner were staying there we only received 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel, the shower leaked so much from the bottom of the floor, it flooded the bathroom, bit disappointed as it was a spa hotel that there was no mini shampoo and conditioners only a hair and body one in the shower, I really dont think it is worth the money I paid, ive stayed in better for cheaper and stayed in more expensive and have been very happy, i am quite disappointed as ive always wanted to stay there

Accomadation, clean and good bathroom.Breakfast.

Couldnt get WiFi connection in room and would have given clean a good score let down by tatty decor/carpet on stairs etc looked as if could have done with good vacuuming or replacing.

Fried Breakfast was a little 'plastic' (buffet style, kept under infrared heaters). Some parts of the hotel are very tired.

The room was very well appointed,clean and comfortable,the dining room and bar excellent.

Decor of lounge and bar. TV and shower v good. Friendly girl from Rumania in bar. Food v good - scrambled egg at breakfast was exquisite !! Shower v good.

General exterior is run down and in parts almost looks derelict. Corridors and stairs are damp and in need of major repainting. A stark contrast to the decor of the reception/lounge/bar though damp pervades the air even here. Walls of our room need paint. Radiator never came on, even at 'Max' setting.

There was nothing i didn't like

The first thing you notice is the fantastic grounds of the hotel and the hotel itself was great to look at. We were then greated by lovely, friendly and human staff (not a company robot). This was great to see and made us feel welcome. The room was spotless and the bathroom was a good size. The breakfast in the morning was also very good with a good selection.

The hotel looked very new except for the area of the hallway and stairs. The area from the bar to the room looked like they ran out of money to renew the carpet.

Everything! Extremely impressed with hotel, rooms very spacious and nicely decorately, service was excellent and food was superb.

it was 40th and for a weekend treat, we booked this with booking.com. excellent value for monies.. also on site is spa treatment but best if book before hand.. very good clean. as a whole the hotel was clean, tidy warm and friendly staff, as a whole for woodall spa . vey good we went for a indian and a couple of drinks over the road. vgc. excellent weekend and would book again

in middle of refurbishment however what they have completed is poorly finished which is a shame as they are clearly trying to make the hotel more upmarket but it comes across as done on the cheap.

We enjoyed the hotel and our room as both were well-apponited, clean and comfortable. In particular every member of staff was friendly, helpful and chatty, and made us feel welcome. They are obviously well selected, trained and motivated. You are obviously spending a lot on refurbishment and deserve every success.

The only two adverse comments we could make were that we found it difficult to work the heating in our room and that the duvet only just covered the bed. The latter meant that as soon as we got into bed it failed to cover us both. A slightly more generous size would have increased the comfort tremendously.

A relaxing experience with friendly staff. We had a good meal in the restaurant. Staff were attentive and helpful. Would definately visit again. Good to hear that we could contact them and arrange specific packages if we wanted.

Nice old hotel in lovely surroundings especially for golfers. Room and en-suite were very clean and comfortable. Evening meal and breakfasts excellent, wished we were staying another night to sample more of the menu. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Noisy neighbours, early in the morning 5.45am onwards, loud television and banging doors. (Early morning golfers?)

Great location, but the hotel could do with a general upgrade / refurbishment. Room was a good size and decor ok, but corridor carpets were horrible 60s/70s red and that left the lasting impression. Internet gives a good impression and the reality disappointed. However. A small amount of investment can transform the impression given (eg just clean the golf hotel sign of its green tinge).

See above for balanced view. Has potential to be a nice hotel. Some small investment and attention to detail required to transform the standard.

This hotel is in a great location for staying in and around Lincoln. Woodhall Spa is a lovely place to visit and stay.

When we first arrived at the hotel we was greated by construction next door, this is not the hotels fault. Our room was next to this noise. The worst thing about our room was being close to the kitchen so we was kept awake with the extractor fan till late and then early the next morning. I could not fault the staff who moved us to the other side of the hotel where our room was great and quiet. The staff at this hotel were perfect.

Location, car parking, modernised reception area, large, comfortable and modern room.

Outside of hotel very run down, as is much of the interior = stairs, corridors etc. Breakfast advertised from 7am but in fact hot food, even toast, only availible from 8am.

Central location to the areas we wished to visit.
