Gomersal Park Hotel  

Staff were really friendly, the food was good, and the rooms were very clean and modern in decor. Would recommend for anyone not staying on business who wouldn't be needing decent internet access

Marked down for facilities based on the internet. I was staying overnight on a business trip and the internet was so slow as to be practically unusable which caused me lots of issues and means I personally wouldn't coose to stay there again

Not enough staff in the evening

Conveniently situated for the reason for our stay in that we attended a wedding at Oakwell Hall.

The first room we were allocated was very noisy as the room was situated above the gym/pool area and the wall behind the bed head vibrated quite badly. Our second allocated room was ok.

The location was perfect for us, and public areas are nicely done. Staff were fantastic and rooms quiet even with a function going. Competitively priced.

Rooms were clean but looking a bit tired. Dining room acoustics are terrible - you cannot hear someone on the same table if there is another group in.

Great location felt is tho you were in the country. Service good, very comfortable hotel. Breakfast excellant.

Loved the hotel but found the roooms a bit of a rabit warren.

The staff bent over backwards to make things work for you. They were very polite. The food was very good and the breakfast splendid. very pleasant location.

I found it very difficult to enjoy the pool with my family and their children. We chose the hotel for the pool but it was full of old people doing lengths who did nothing but complain. If it is a length pool it should be certain hours for swimmers and certain hours for family swimming. i dont think it is a family hotel which I found very disappointing. Mattresses very dirty and old in my room and uncomfortable.

The grounds were stunning

The bar was very expensive. Also perhaps some security needed when several weddings taking place

I loved the Hotel but was very disappointed with the staff were not very friendly . not helpful at all customer service was not good . i am a Hotel Manager customer servies is my highest prority ,

There was a very good, friendly atmosphere which made us feel comfortable. The food, in both the restaurant and the brasserie, was excellent, and the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant.

The size of the room, the look of the place and the facilities

We had no room service the second night so I had to make the bed and there wasn't any clean cups of biscuits.

Very efficient service, no hassle experience. Easy book-in and check out. Reasonable sized room, clean. Good shower. Windows that open to let air in.

We stayed at gph after a wedding there that day,so that we could enjoy the function.The staff were excellent (especially the ones who dealt with the reception. We would reccomend a stay to all our freinds.

Restaurant food was good. Pool was small but OK. Free Wi Fi in room - good for business travellers.

Hotel ready for make over. Although clean enough, the furnishings and fixtures are very worn.

We have been before and really enjoyed the relaxation and friendly staff. The swimming instructor merits a special mention as she restored my wifes confidence in swimming.

On arrival our room had not been warmed up , so we had to sit in our coats and turn up the radiator. The impeccable cleanliness we had experienced on our previous visit had slipped a bit , but it was stll ok.

Could have water dispenser in the leisure facilities ie outside the sauna. Could not find information book in our room, with information on opening times of pool; food available by room service etc.
