It has a very warm and stylish ambience Was a tiny bit dusty and we had an intermittant loud noise throughout the nite each time someone flushed the toilet in the building, but other than that, can't fault it!

The staff were warm friendly and very welcoming, they characterised "northern hospitality" for me. Its a shame the hotel in which they worked was so tired looking. It really didn't do them justice. I didn't much enjoy my stay in Gomersal Park and I would try to avoid returning. The staff were very positive and very friendly, the hotel however looked and smelt like a very dated old folks home. That was my instant impression and when I got up to my room that impression was very much confirmed.

The rates were good and it was in close proximity to Oakwell Hall. The room was overlooked by an adjacent room.

Beautiful location - green fields and trees, quiet and relaxing. Rooms spacious and very clean. Ample car parking. Varied choice of food at breakfast. Liked having the spa and used it, but it is in need of refurbishing. I live in London and am used to places that have invested lots of money in such facilities fairly recently. Better if you posted the dinner menu in the lift, or made it available on screen in rooms. Also, breakfast could be improved by adding muesli to the cereals, better fresh fruit and some crusty rolls. It was all a bit too packaged. Reason for staying was family history research in the local area.

The room was shabby and in need of refurbishment, as was the bathroom, the breakfast @ £14.00 was very poor value, we had to wait quite some time to be seated as there were no staff to show us to a table, there did not appear to be any kind of organisation of the staff who were waiting on the tables, with tables left uncleared, requested items ie tea or coffee etc apparently forgotten about, some tables with condiments others without, it was generally very poor all round.

Location is good, off the main road with good car park with multiple security cameras. Hotel is quite nice, friendly staff but is a little worn round the edges. The £80 price tag without breakfast is too much. The hotel is a bit of a rabbit warren with quite a hike with your bags if you are in a far away room. The free internet connection was not working.
